Meet the Next did a great job at our wedding. Throughout the entire process they were very accommodating and professional which made the entertainment aspect a lot easier on us. Their performance at the wedding was first class and everyone had a great time dancing to their music.

They have a great playlist and do a great job performing. However, during their lengthy break, a song was played with the "f word" in it. Obviously, this is not the type of thing you want to happen at your wedding reception.
In addition, the band leader pulled me aside several times toward the end of the night to tell me I was "behind schedule". While I understand the band was hired for a specific amount of time, I would have strongly preferred for them to pack their equipment and allow me to mingle with my guests. Instead, I was repeatedly told I needed to leave my own reception.
I expected much more professional service given the cost of the performance.

Unfortunately, here is a bride which had rain interupt her out door reception, however as the schedule deviated, we were completely accomodating. She hired an event location and staffing and band based on time frames... I was asked by the Reception facility operator to get the function wrapped up, it was beyond their booked time, so I asked the bride very politely.
Finally, the music played on breaks that she is referring to she approved and was provided by one of her guests, and I had no idea what was on the CD they gave me.
I hate this brides experience was less than "PERFECT!", but the problems she experienced were not because of ANYTHING the band did.

I was very impressed with Ken's professionalism in the months leading up to the event. He was available whenever I needed him, and he seemed to be a very nice guy. The band sounded fine at the reception.
My wife and I were very frustrated by the attitudes of the band members the day of the wedding (I'm not sure where this came from, but it seemed like they thought it was an inconvenience for them to be there). There was a small rain shower during the reception, and I had to convince the band to keep playing even though the stage was covered and the rain wasn't touching any equipment. The band played lots of songs that we didn't request. Lighten up guys! Have fun!

I am very sorry that Aaron views things the way he does, but the circumstances and weather created the things that he seems most unhappy about.
First of all, the "small rain shower" was a short, but very hard downpour, and although we were set up on a porch, they had a tent butted up to that porch, and water was cascading off of that tent onto equipment at the front of the stage... this equipment is highly expensive musical gear including keyboards, mixers, effects processors, and lighting, and we had to stop playing to shift every thing back so that it would not continue to get wet. A few problems:
1. Gave band the plan weeks before, but had to tell them twice what it was time for: cake cutting and sorotity song
2. I asked the band Dec. 14th to learn grooms fav. song and they replied on Dec. 15th with "Yes, we could add that song for you guys... :)". A friend asked them to play it and they said they didn't play that song. I requested it 3 months ago.
3. Didn't have the music we asked for for the bouquet/garter toss. We included it in our plan we sent them weeks before the event.
Overall, they seemed very unprepared for the event. They took awkward long pauses between each song like they didn't know what to play next.

I am very sorry this bride feels that we delivered a less than wonderful addition to her reception. The guests seemed to love what we did. 1. They were 15 minutes late arriving, and that did cause a slight issue with the timing of things, but we made it seamless other than having to be told when a couple of things would happen. 2. The only song requested was a first dance song which we put together and performed. 3. On their reception planner, it was specifically noted they would provide break music and the songs for bouquet and garter toss.... break cd was handed to me, but not the one she speaks of here, so that falls on her. I would have provided had she asked.

Meet the Next gave an outstanding performance for my husband's 40th Birthday Party! They kept the crowd singing & dancing & cheering all night. I would recommend them without hesitation for any event. They were the stars of the party!!

These guys were great. Super talented, great song list, and put on a hell of a show. After the party everyone wanted to know who the band was and how we found them. The only negative I can say is that we didn't party with them long enough. The guitarist can absolutely jam. Ripped some awesome solos. The guys were great and we'd recommend them to anyone. Now we're looking for another excuse to have a party so we can hire them again.

Meet the Next performed for our wedding reception at The Oaks in Centreville, AL and they were absolutely PERFECT! They were so easy to work with, very informative, organized and detailed each time I spoke with them, and they were a blast at the wedding. They sounded great and were so much fun. They had alot of people at our reception dancing that wouldn't normally dance. They knew exactly what to play when and were great at helping to control the timing of all of our events--cutting the cake, bouquet and garter toss, etc. We really could not have asked for a better band. Super talented! I would highly recommend them!
