Wedding Cocktail Hour Reviewed on September 14, 2014 From Avon, IN
:
Our contract CLEARLY states we do NOT play in rain or direct sunlight. Our instruments are too expensive. We have a canopy that we will rent to clients but client said they would provide it for both the ceremony & cocktail hour. They did NOT provide one for cc hour & we had to leave when it started to rain. Our contract says we will arrive early to set up. We needed their canopy set up BEFORE we could set up and get organized. They wanted music which has NO published arrangements for our Trio (only Duo). They said OK if cello didn't play all requested. BUT we arranged them at NO COST to client & cello played on ALL songs. She is an untruthful person.Review by Danielle L.

We coordinated with the person in charge on the style of music they wanted so we could match them with the right band. They wanted a Dance Band and they were given a Song List (which contained Big Band, Swing, and Jazz Standards primarily). Their commitee chair person changed during this planning period and she evidently wanted disco and contemporary dance music. This was not communicated to us. We had no way of knowing that this would be a mismatch and no opportunity to make a change. Most of the other attendees expressed great satisfaction with what they were playing, but the new committee head took charge and demanded disco which we were not prepared to play.Review by Alicia B.

I was not familiar with area of the wedding, which is 2-hours one-way from my house. My info sheet asks that the client gives directions. Client left that empty. GPS showed as Uncharted Territory so I called client for help. She said her call dropped. I tracked down two different Sheriffs to get me there. So remote & backwoods that it had only an outhouse for a John. When I arrived, they had me seated on a slope, a very bad position to hold & play a "classical" guitar. My husband (thank God he was with me) had to hold up the music stand for the duration in order to keep it from falling over. It fell over once, so he couldn't let go at all for the duration.Review by Kaitlyn W.

Kaitlyn and her finance had put in three bid requests; they accepted two (all identical) and since had called me after the requests were accepted, she did want to pay the Gigmaster fee. She also wanted Rock music by string quartet(e.g.Beatles)but specific songs. I search all over but could not find her specific requests availabe for string quartet. I sent her our playlist, but I spent hours trying to locate her requests. I bought all the "rock" arrangements for string quartet that I could find. After all this, her finance said he was handling the music and he wanted classical. Since my contract says that the client must pay for new music not on our playlist, our prof
