We made a last minute (1 week before event) to get a piano player for background music at a post wedding brunch (a "hangover soother", if you will, and a proper send-off to our out-of-town guests) the morning after our son's wedding. Found Bruce on gigmasters and made a plan. We asked for jazz mixed with Elton, Billy, as well as more current music. We were all very pleased with both the level of Bruce's talent and his mix of artists. We even heard some Lady Gaga!
Live music gave our party just the added something that is hard to describe. Bruce Lewis was professional, talented, and accommodating. We would definitely hire him again when the need arises.

Working with Bruce was a pure joy. He was extremely accomodating from the outset. We mentioned that we had a younger crowd at our wedding and would like to hear some more modern tunes and he obliged with no questions asked. During our cocktail hour, our guests were able to enjoy songs by Coldplay, in addition to some other classics. On several occassions, we were asked "who was that piano player, he was excellent?" Bruce was so good, that our cousin actually booked him for her wedding, which is coming up in October 2010. Overall, our experience couldn't have been better.

Bruce was amazing. We had a Valentine's party where guests dressed up as famous movie star couples, and he provided theme music for movies from the 40's to the present, with beautiful jazz standards in between. He and I spent time before the party talking through the selections, which he did willingly, and he came up with very creative ideas and followed through marvelously. He was extremely versatile and talented, and all of the guests enjoyed his playing immensely.

Bruce Lewis was just fine. He was on time, played many different songs some of which were special requests, accompanied singers quite well (with no rehearsal!). He was diligent and accomodative, and professional in every way.

I would hire Bruce again in a second and recommend him to a friend. He called me to confirm the occasion, type of music and number of people. My guests were extremely impressed with his talent and the fact that while he was an extremely important part of the party, the music did not overtake the party. I believe this is a very difficult balance to achieve and Bruce achieved it perfectly.
