The Besides R&B Band from Cleveland, OH

Hello! This is Shawn Nichols, a founding member of the R & B band, The Besides. We had a great weekend at Lock 3 in Akron performing at the Pizza Festival. We had beautiful weather and a good crowd. If you came out to support live music, thanks a lot. We are a seven- piece band based out of Bedford, Ohio. We have been together since 2018. Our band consists of Lead Vocals, Keyboard, Guitar, Electric Bass, Drums, Trumpet, Alto Sax and Trombone. We perform much of the classic R & B hits from artists including Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder, Average White Band, Sly & The Family Stone, The Rolling Stones, Etta James, Steely Dan, Buddy Miles, The Doobie Brothers, Sam & Dave, Bobby Blue Bland, Eric Clapton, Kool & The Gang, Tower of Power, Eddie Floyd, Edwin Starr, The Ides of March, James Brown and many more. We have performed at community parties in the park, local bars/restaurants, festivals and private events. All sets are one hour in length and our band usually takes a 15 minute break in between sets. We have three complete sets compiled. We have all of our own equipment and carry insurance. We also have t-shirts and hats for sale with the band's logo. Our pricing is dependent on how much music is needed for your event, the date, holiday vs. non-holiday, mileage and additional fuel costs. For example, a full three hours of music (non-holiday) will cost approximately $850.00 plus mileage and gas. Of course, we would be happy to discuss your event needs in further detail!
