About Vendor

Melanie Dekker - a voice like chocolate. Dekker is a roots-pop sensation home to Deep Cove, BC, with a new Creative BC supported album, "Secret Spot" fresh out of the gates! This is Dekker's 7th self-written album, though she's known to sing 100's of your favourite songs as well. Her dutch background gives her an easy going, straightforward style, while her energy undoubtable moves you. From subtle private events to fiery big stages. From special one night only events to 40 concert extensive tours. She's opened for Diana Krall, Bryan Adams, Faith Hill & Russell Peters. "I'm a Singing-Guitarist & Singing-Pianist. Have performed over 1000 concerts in 10 years. Will add your favourite song to my repertoire, which includes hits from 60's 70s, 80's, 90s and today. I will bring a warm, vivacious, and feel-good vibe to your event. I'm also a composer & recording artist, so if you prefer a more 'recording artist' and 'one of a kind' approach, then I will sing songs from my latest 3 album releases. These songs are mostly mid-tempo with the topics mostly revolving around sweet reflection with a refreshing twist." *I'm able to accommodate virtual event bookings! *Not currently doing shows in the USA (due to permits required)

Melanie Dekker:
I hesitated at first to reply this Gig idea; as I like the event leader's goals to match my musical style and I wasn't 100% sure; as this seemed tricker due to it being outdoors, not for profit, and in a “rougher” part of town. But I'm so glad we participated! By choosing feel good mid tempo songs, we did all seem to get a little bit of “wiggle on.” May the smiles we all had, lift spirits and encourage stronger heartfelt connections!Review by angel l.

Melanie Dekker:
You added to my wonderful memories last year, and I hope you've had many magical moments since your special day! Your recommendation by way of the 5star review to others helps me keep music as a full time job. I wanted to reach out with a little something in return. I'm now booking into 2026, so if you or any of your friends are planning something special, please keep me in mind. I'm just over in North Vancouver—not too far away! Also, I wanted to let you know I have a roaring 1920s Gatsby-style band called Barnstormer that brings sparkle, swing, and a whole lot of fun to events of all kinds. (barnstormerbandepk.com / @barnstormer1920) As a thank-you for being a past client, I'd love to offer you a $50 repeat booking discount if you decide to book again. Reach out for bookings either here on this platform (my preference) or via email at: elephantearsentertainment@gmail.com Hope we get to cross paths again soon Jennifer! Warm wishes, MelanieAwards & Badges
