I was concerned when Jose forgot our previous conversation about wedding details (location, time, set-up, etc.) - even though I sent a document explaining everything. I had to remind him of everything, recalling details from the top of my head, 1 week before the wedding - which was very stressful & difficult. I forgot to remind him he was providing the wireless mic for the ceremony (which he had originally agreed to but forgot, so guests weren't able to hear anything). However, this was the only negative part. Jose was a great performer, very talented and really put the perfect touch to our beach wedding. I'd recommend him - just be sure to keep on top of him!

I enjoyed playing for this client and did 2 jobs in 1 /set up in 2 locations- ceremony/cocktail hour. I have more bookings than any other steel drummers on this site in the New England area and try to do my best keeping track of everything- nobody is perfect. I don't own a wireless mic and never agreed to having one. The misunderstanding is that I have a wireless battery powered amp/speaker which can be used where there is no electricity. I did bring it and used it. The mic for it is not wireless and I would have to reposition it for the officiant which would delay things for a minute. Just want to be clear on it in case somebody in the future has a beach ceremony.

Jose Costa was a breeze to work with. He showed up on time - did a wonderful job playing for our ceremony & cocktail hour. It was a special addition that guests had never seen done before at a wedding. Jose was very professional and helpful in the beginning when we were planning the ceremony and cocktail hour, however, on the day of the ceremony he was not as professional. I felt as if I was a burden for him. For the ceremony which was on the beach, he didn't play live music it was just a CD playing, although he did play when I walked down the aisle. Then he was suppose to play at the cocktail hour from 6-7:30, and he didn't show up until 6:45. Also, he then asked for a new deposit check, because he lost our check, very unprofesional.

Jose was great! He arrived and was set up where wented nice and early. Played for the duration of our cocktail hour. It was outdoors and extremely windy, but he played without a problem. My guests loved his music and he made the cocktail hour of our wedding fun and upbeat, a great start to our reception! Jose was very easy to work with and very professional.

Jose was very accommadating w/ our schedule changes and very easy to work with. The group enjoyed the music and the vibe it brought to our event. We had a hiccup with the country club's sound system and Jose stepped in right away and helped us by relocating his equipment for our use for the live auction. I would definitly reccomend Jose and would use him again!
