Jim is an absolute wonderful entertainer. Great piano player. Great singer. Great personality. He has the talent of adjusting his songs to the audience at hand. He entertained at my step sons 18th birthday party keeping a wide range of guests between age 7 to age 90 entertained. I highly recommend Jim!

I thought Jim did a fine job. Unfortunately he was playing to a group celebrating their 55th high school reunion and they were more interested in talking to each other than watching or listening to Jim. A couple people took advantage of the lively music and got up on the dance floor. Jim did his best to elicit enthusiasm. He has talent and a professional attitude.

Jim was great at our wedding. He was early enough to play for guests as they arrived, and when the video we wanted to play didn't have any sound, he was able to improvise some music that lined up just about perfectly.

Jim was a pleasure to work with from the very beginning. Being an out-of-town bride-to-be I was VERY nervous about hiring a musician sight (and sound) unseen. Jim was professional and timely with email communication, and as his personality came out and I began to see that he would really be the enjoyable talent that we were looking for. Jim had taken the time to learn our First Dance Song and Mother/Son Song (we thought we would have to use the iPod). He was also very easy going and seamlessly went along with the flow as people made impromptu speeches, meal plans changed, and one of the toddlers requested the ABCs. Recommend for any event :)

We had an INCREDIBLE experience with Jim at our wedding! He performed on his keyboard for our ceremony and on the hotel's grand piano for our reception. Without seeming to do so, Jim made sure the events of our reception flowed smoothly and occurred on time. He was a wonderful emcee, too! Jim took many requests and even learned two new songs just for our wedding, one in just one week (he's truly talented to have played it so perfectly with such short notice!) In short, hire Jim and you'll get a polished, accommodating professional with a great voice, great talent, and great personality. We received so many compliments on Jim's playing - you will, too!

Jim and his music "made" the party for our Mom's 90th birthday! He was very flexible, needed due to my inexperience in engaging live entertainment for a party. We couldn't have been more pleased and highly recommend him. He also made prompt email contact after I accepted his bid and kept in touch up to the party date; I appreciated that attentiveness. A shout-out to Gigmasters as well, because I doubt I would have found Jim without the site. (What a great use of technology!)

We were delighted with Jim from the moment he arrived in a stars and stripes tie to play for my dad (a retired col in the army) 90ith birthday party. We had 40 people dancing and singing along with Jim and he was amazing! Jim connected all the generations with music and song and everyone had a great time. Jim's vocals were wonderful and he didn't mind letting the great-grandchildren entertain along with him. I hope we can have another event and use Jim's talents again.

I would recommend Jim Laurie to anyone. We needed background music for our son's rehearsal dinner and he was just what we wanted. Jim always answered my e-mails promptly, showed up early in a tux, presented himself very professionally, and played appropriate songs. He made our evening very delightful.

I was asked to organize a holiday luncheon for our company and searched the Gigmasters site for live entertainment. I viewed Jim's video on the website and thought he would be a good fit. Jim was very accommodating and entertaining and certainly added that extra touch to help make our event a success. Because of Jim's professionalism and flexability to accommodate the needs of his clients, I would highly recommend Jim for anyone's entertainment needs.
