We hired Grits and Soul to play as guests arrived for our daughter's wedding, and during the cocktail hour after the ceremony. Most of our guests traveled from outside of Kentucky and we were looking for a good way to introduce them to the Bluegrass. What better way than with a bluegrass band? G&S was the perfect start to the event. Their musicianship is outstanding. Anna handles the business for the duo and she was always prompt, cheerful and clear in her communications. My only regret is that (as father-of-the-bride) I missed most of their playing because I was elsewhere (photographs) while G&S was entertaining our guests. Hire them! You will be very pleased.

They are absolutely amazing!! My guests talked all night long about our ceremony music and how beautiful it sounded. Anna was a pleasure to work with when deciding on ceremony music and provided helpful input to assist me with making decisions. They arrived promptly. They were very professional and SO talented. I highly recommend Grits & Soul.

Grits & Soul is top notch! I cannot say enough and there's not enough stars to reflect the talent they have. We booked Grits & Soul for an outside rehearsal dinner BBQ by the river. Thier experience and professionalism was evident upon our first interaction. They provided the perfect music for every mood of the evening, it was amazing at how in tune, litteraly, with the the guests they are. They added the perfect background music for our event and made it so easy for us! They played requests for guests without hesitation. We will definitely be using Grits & Soul again, unless they're booked at the Oprey, they ARE that good!
