Helen and Dave were a highlight of our wedding day! Their pre- and post-ceremony sets complemented the beauty of our outdoor venue, their music lilting and mingling with the breeze and the birds. They were so wonderful for my daughters ceremony. The music was beautiful and complimented our ceremony and added a modern flare. Would hire them again in a minute. They would be great for happy hour as well. Very kind prompt and fee was reasonable.

Helen was so great to work with and was very accomodating to our needs. She showed up on time and set up in a timely manner. She even was willing to work with me to prepare some special material for our event!
Her music was AWESOME! She is a very gifted guitar player and singer! Not only is her talent amazing but she was a huge hit with our crowd and everyone loved the song selection!

Helen was great! She had plenty of communication leading up to our ceremony to make sure she knew any special requests, and even learned to sing a song for our service that she didn't already have in her repertoire. She arrived at the venue 2 hours prior to the event and was already set up before we arrived. Everything sounded great and the performance was wonderful. I wished I had a recording of all the songs she played since I was only able to hear her rehearsing during photos, and as I was walking people in. She also brought an additional musician to help round out her sound at no extra cost, and wanted to make sure that was OK. Thanks Helen!

If I could give more than 5's I would. She literally saved my wedding. I had musicians drop out two weeks before my ceremony and in a desperate attempt I messaged Helen. Not only did she respond right away to every email, but she was so helpful and even supplied a second guitarist. I didn't hear them until my rehearsal and I was blown away. I was so glad that my circumstances led me to her and I would hire her again in a heart beat. Talented, helpful, responsive, super nice, professional... she went above and beyond. My ceremony was beyond perfect! Hire her and you won't stress on your wedding day. 10 stars!

I contracted with Helen to play for the ceremony of my out-of-state wedding. She communicated promptly, had lots of options and good suggestions for me and provided recordings of some of her pieces. She played beautifully for my garden wedding and I couldn't have been happier. I only wish I would have had her stay a little longer to play for the reception so I could have enjoyed more of her music. She was a delight to work with and a lovely woman.

Helen Avakian's partner Dave Irwin was our acoustic guitarist who performed at our wedding event. Helen was performing in New York I believe so Dave played at our event. My husband and I were so incredibly pleased with Dave on all levels. He provided us with several song options. With days prior to our event we requested two songs he wasn't entirely familiar with but he mastered them in a matter of days and played them beautifully. He is very personable and professional. We received several complements from our guests about the music. We are very satisfied with Dave's work and would highly recommend him to everyone for any kind of event!

I hired Helen to play outdoors for a reception for an art installation. Helen and her partner, Dave, were punctual, friendly, professional, and extremely talented. We had several pedestrians and bicyclists stopping on the side of the road to hear them play. I would recommend booking Helen to anyone looking for great talent at a reasonable price.
