Mark played beautiful classical guitar music at our wedding ceremony and reception. Many of our guests pulled us aside to tell us that they really enjoyed his performances and thought his music added an extra special touch to our wedding. We appreciate him making our day that much more special. Mark is extremely talented and we highly recommend him for any occasion.

Mark's performance helped make my 50th birthday party very special. He set up quickly and was very responsive to all requests. We all enjoyed his beautiful guitar playing. In addition to his musical talents, he is very friendly and personable--someone you would like to have talk with your friends!

Mark did an outstanding job performing for my outdoor wedding and reception in Napa Valley. We had talked beforehand and I gave him discretion to play a variety of pieces that included everthing from classical, celtic, jazz, baroque, to the beatles. He had a good sence of timing as to when to switch gears from one tune to the next as the evening progressed. He was upbeat, friendly with our guests, and played special requests when asked. Mark created the kind of beautiful musical atmosphere that I had envisioned many months prior when I first listened to some of his samples here on GigMasters.

We thought Mark did a good job, but for whatever reason, the sound quality during the ceremony was bad. Our special request was not played. This might have been the facility's fault but the problems should have been recognized early on.

The bride is right regarding sound problems. This was an outdoor wedding and the power outlet had been wet from the sprinkler system which in turn was causing me to get shocked and my sound system to short out , causing it to cut in and out. This has never happened in all my years performing. So i played without the system there and it was a little quieter than it otherwise would have been. Otherwise the reception went well and guests loved it.

Mark is definitely a talented musician and I received several positive comments from our wedding guests. I would mention, that there were a few instances in which situations could have been handled more professionally (i.e. interrupting me (the bride) on the dance floor to ask me for his payment, and visiting the open bar a few too many times). Perhaps Mark would be a better fit for less formal events.

Regarding visiting the open bar a few to many times I was getting glasses of water as it was 91 degrees that day and the caterers were far to busy to deal with getting me water. Also the bride had me performing in 3 different spots throughtout the very hot day and moving my equipment with no help ( not to mention no shade) did not help. I DO NOT drink alcohol at all and always carry myself in a professional manner while working.
I also did not take any breaks and played 45 minutes longer than i was contracted to. I did this because guests were raving about how happy they were with my playing and the overall ambiance.

Mark performed at my wedding and was fantastic! He played for our ceremony, happy hour, and dinner. Mark was great to work with and did an amazing job both musically and logistically. Our site was a bit complicated, but Mark took care of bringing the needed equipment for both locations and setting everything up. On top of being great to work with, Mark's music ended up being exactly what we wanted and truly made the atmosphere perfect. After having a number of other vendors that were not close to perfect, it was refreshing to have our music work out so well. Thank you Mark so much! I cannot recommend you enough!! Hire Mark if you want amazing music and low stress!

I had so many of our guests which numbered about 30 altogether, come up to me and remark on how much they enjoyed Mark's performance. We pretty much decided to leave the musical selections to Mark and he did
a fabulous job. His performance of Celtic, Spanish guitar classics, and other beautiful compositions helped make our outdoor Wedding Celebration everything we wanted it to be!

I am not alone in saying that Mark was wonderful. Every person in attendance at my wedding with whom I have spoken has relayed their enjoyment of his talent. He was so very helpful with picking the music for the ceremony and given free reign for the music through dinner he was flawless. I could not have wished for anything more. I would not hesitate to recommend Mark to anyone.

From the very begining we were impressed with Mark, for his promtness in responding to our request, his ease and flexibility, he made sure to keep in contact with us even though he was traveling. He was very flexible and allowed us freedom with the music selection. The day of the event he was early, on time. He played beautifully through out the wedding and knew exactly were to be so our guests would enjoy his wonderful music. He made our ceremony very special. Thank You Mark!!!!

Mark Abdilla's music was absolutely beautiful! It gave the perfect ambiance to my wedding ceremony and dinner. I asked for classical, Spanish, and a little Irish and Mark played the most beautiful mix of acoustic guitar I could have dreamed of. Many of my guests came up to me and complimented my choice in music. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a light, joyous, beautiful and romantic sound.

Unfortunately, several things we expected didn't happen, communication was difficult but overall our opinion is that Mark is talented but would suggest being more formal and professional throughout the process.

Unfortunately, you are correct. The communication was terrible. I arrive 30 minutes early and the coordinator didn't know anything about what was going on ( which is supposed to be her job ) or where I was to set up. No bride or groom or wedding party to be found. Finally she tells me until they're going to be starting in 30 minutes late…. So I waited basically an hour to start in frigid 48 degree weather with 30MPH winds…. Which created hazards such as my guitar falling over.. wedding props and other things flying around dangerously….
This client required me to record a video of his wedding song…. Which I obliged in, did not even charge a fee for my time which I usually do..
The so-called wedding coordinator in scrambling around, said she was going to give me a queue when groom walked. Again she was nowhere to be found. .
This was one of the hardest clients I've ever had to deal with and to top it off I only charged in half of my regular fee.

Mark did a great job with very little information from us! He showed up on time, played beautifully, and managed to pick the perfect songs to play even though we didn't provide him with as much direction as we might have. I would absolutely recommend him for other weddings.
