Darrell was so easy to work with. I had an idea of what I wanted him to play but he was very helpful with helping me figure out what would be best based on the service we were planning. Hes very responsive to calls and emails. Something I appreciate very much! And….the music was wonderful and a perfect way to make my dads service special. I would definitely hire Darrell again!

We hired Darrell Calvillo through The Bash to play bagpipes at my father’s memorial. First of all, we picked him because of his thoughtful response to our inquiry. He was very helpful and professional during our conversations leading up to the event. At the memorial itself, he did not disappoint. My father always loved the bagpipes, and it was such a special experience to include such a wonderful presentation and performance in our time of remembering him. I think it’s safe to say that Darrell exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to recommend him for any gathering that would require his unique and skilled talents.

Darrell Calvillo is an outstanding bagpiper who made this booking so easy! We needed a bagpiper for a funeral of our dear friend's father. Darrell was the first to respond AND by phone. He began our conversation by extending his condolences. He was so personal, professional, and kind--exuding warmth and humor. While others responded later via email, we knew Darrell was OUR bagpiper! He made the planning SO easy. He readily responded by phone and arrived beautifully dressed in his formal kilt. He led the procession with class and dignity playing Amazing Grace and later Danny Boy. It was live-streamed to Ireland and they were also very impressed! Thank you, Darrell.

Darrell was excellent. My party was for multiple birthday celebrants at my house and Darrell was a shhhh.....surprise for my step dad. Darrell had made his grand surprise entrance as Darrell and I planned it was perfect. My step dad sure was surprised he had tears in his eyes. My step dad was so happy I had asked him if he had a song request, he said he didn't care what Darrell played. My friends & family enjoyed Darrell's performance. And look forward to having him again either at my house or my friends or family's places!

We hired Darrell to play the introduction of our corporate event, he suggested to add 2 drummers to round out the presentation and that made all the difference! A truly remarkable musical experience that made an lasting impression on our host, who by the way was Scottish and had flown in from Scotland to present. Very professional, showed up on time in Las Vegas having driven from CA and was always in contact providing updates all along the way. Would definitely recommend using Darrell!

Darrell is AMAZING! Our St. Patrick's Day party included over 150 guests ranging in age from 2-82. We weren't sure how the kids would react to Darrell's surprise performance which started as he marched down the street. Well - Darrell quickly became the pied piper. He was surrounded by kids doing the jig and forming a circle line dance around him. Darrell took it all in stride. His performance was top-notch, entertaining and memorable. I would highly recommend him and look forward to working with him again. THANK YOU!

What an amazing experience!! Darrell (and his two other bandmates) were fantastic. We were blown away by the authenticity and professionalism. The music was beautiful, several neighbors came outside to enjoy from afar. During the booking process, Darrell was very patient, responsive and professional. He took the time to call me and explain in detail his experience and suggestions (much appreciated after several automatic replies) and answered all of my questions with patience & kindness (thank you!) I could not have asked for a more talented or professional person. Not only was I impressed with the bagpiper, but many of my guests commented on how much they enjoyed him.
