This was a birthday weekend, filled with MANY moving pieces. A lot of activities and surprises. The piper's appearance brought the house down. It was so unique and special, my guests just LOVED it. Darrell Calvillo was exceptional.

DC Live Music did an outstanding job playing the bagpipe at the funeral. The bagpiper was ontime, presentable, and very professional. Everybody was very impressed with his skill level and demeanor. It looked like he had done the same routine 1000 times before. I would highly recommend DC Live Music to anyone that is looking for a good bagpiper!

Darrell call me right before he was to come in, and then i told him to start playing going into party.It was perfect. And everybody love it.But most important The birthday boy Rene said he was awesome and was very happy to have him perform for his birthday.

I asked him in writing via a performance confirmation to arrive at 4:30 for check-in for a 5:00 performance. He arrived at 5:09. He did not follow my emailed directions on where to park and check in. I had to call him 3 times to find out his location. He committed to a trio-said that there would be piper, guitar, and percussion, but there was no guitar and two pipers instead. He made a stressful day more stressful. Because others were booked and the program needed to stay on time as courtesy to the other 8 groups, I had to remove him from the stage on time, thus only getting about 1/2 of the performance he agreed to. He still accepted the full payment of course.

Darrell was wonderful. He arrived early with plenty of time to go over the itinerary. Dressed as a professional should. The performance was top notch. We heard nothing but complements from all who attended. He was an asset to our ceremony. And I would definitely recommend him for other gigs.

Darrell was amazing! He was smartly dressed, arrived well in advance, and played beautifully. He brought a special touch to the service. He was perfectly in tune and made good suggestions. His rendition of Amazing Grace was memorable for all the right reasons, it was incredible. We would not hesitate to book Darrell Calvillo again for any type of event!

Unfortunately there comes a time to plan for your parents funeral and I could not ask for anything more than to have Darrell Calvillo help in the time of need. He is like a trustworthy friend who you can depend to be there with the utmost professionalism and compassion. Darrell played before my daughters wedding, piping people in to church. He looked great and did a great job. Being the father of the bride, I had no time to spend with Darrell other than creating him when he arrived. He knows what he is doing , did his job and left.
