Ron was AWESOME. He called me and I booked him, I had another pipper named Mark trying to go behind Ron and get me to switch. The greatest decision I could have ever made was to book Ron, on the basis of professionalism I would not EVER book Mark because of the integrity issue. Once again thank you RON not a dry eye in the church after how great thou art and amazing grace! Thank you.

Ron was amazing. He learned Star Wars and Lady Gaga's Bad Romance within the week per my request. Really made the whole event come together. So honored to have had him play at my wedding and walk me down the aisle.

Christmas PartyReviewed on December 9, 2014From Calistoga, CA

Ron was a pleasure to work with - arrived on time, dressed in traditional attire, understood our expectations, and helped us to win a trophy in the local tractor parade! We will definitely be using him again for future events.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on July 27, 2014From San Francisco, CA

Ron absolutely made our pub crawl event - my friends still talk about it! We had a blast following him from bar to bar as he led us with his bagpipes and an array of tunes. He was extremely flexible as we were making changes up until the last minute of our event. His laid back and accommodating style was perfect for what was a rowdy group. Thanks Ron!!

Memorial ServiceReviewed on November 2, 2014From San Francisco, CA

I booked Ron for a memorial service and his performance was an unexpected surprise for most of the attendants. He was very accommodating to the changes in the time line, willing to make suggestions but also attentive to what I had in mind. On a stressful, emotional day he was a complete asset to the event. Thank you Ron.

Memorial ServiceReviewed on August 13, 2014From Monterey, CA

Ron did a wonderful job and added much to the service. He played beautifully, he took last minute instructions always with a smile and he was very kind and generous. He also took the time to learn a special country song which isn't usually played on a bagpipe and it was great. Ron is an asset to your organization.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on August 11, 2014From San Jose, CA

It was a perfect experience, and exceeding our expectations. Ron, in full regalia piped his way into our redwood retreat and rounded the pool with majesty on his side. The pipes brought tears to those of us who were veterans, and open mouthed wonder to the 7 youngsters in our reunion group. The best part was the kind and humorous conversation we all had with Ron, who is a gentlemen and a subtle educator as well. He came as a stranger and left with many friends, We look forward to another engagement with Ron in the near future. Superb ! If you want to start the day right, Ron and his pipes will do it for you and open your imagination to a highlighted day.

Family ReunionReviewed on August 11, 2014From Fish Camp, CA

Ron was so responsive to all of the emails I sent. I changed the time up on him a few times and he was super flexible about everything. He arrived early, was dressed in his full piper attire, and just did an outstanding job. He was a true professional and would definitely hire him again should I have the opportunity.

Memorial ServiceReviewed on July 25, 2014From Santa Cruz, CA

Ron was fantastic, amazing, talented, and, most of all, sensitive to the occasion. I very much appreciate him and his performance. He made a difficult day (the 2nd anniversary of my husband's passing) a lot easier. His rendition of AMAZING GRACE brought tears to the eyes of all there. Thank you, GigMasters, and, especially, thank you, Ron.

Ron was highly professional, on-time, sharply dressed, and pipes were in tune. He was extremely accommodating and adapted well to our needs for the memorial service. I couldn't have asked for a better piper.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on June 24, 2014From Sacramento, CA

I am so glad we hired a bagpipe player for our wedding! Everyone loved the music. It added such a great touch to the end of the ceremony as people left the church. Ron was very professional, responded quickly to every email, arrived very early to the wedding, and also had a great sense of humor. A friend who attended our wedding and is planning to get married in the fall said, "Now I want bagpipes at MY wedding!"

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on June 19, 2014From Arnold, CA

Ron was such a joy to work with.He went above and beyond in his services for our wedding day.He and I had contact several times before the event to plan& discuss the vision for music and bagpipes as part of our ceremony. My husband and I are aware and very grateful that he traveled a bit of a distance to get to us that day and I'll add that the weather was a bit challenging with rain and snow-No matter! He was there extra early and his dress and music was simply incredible! All that we could hope for!Our guests were thrilled as well!Ron is friendly, accommodating, and his use of multiple pipes (small and bagpipes) were one of our favorite highlights of the celebration.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on June 2, 2014From Yosemite National Park, CA

Ron was a pleasure to work with. He was the first person to respond to my bid request. Followed up with an e-mail and offered to Skype to audition songs. He offered suggestions based upon the mood I was going for from his expansive song library (most of which is in his head). On the day of the event Ron was early, dressed and ready ahead of time. The wedding ceremony was great in a large part to Ron's playing. I would definitely recommend Ron for future gigs. Great guy too!

WeddingReviewed on June 2, 2014From San Jose, CA

Ron was a superb talent and a top notch professional. My husband and I decided to marry in our respective clan kilts, and the ceremony we pictured hinged on having a bagpipe led processional and recessional. Ron worked with us to select just the right songs, and when the bagpipes sang out over the field and trees we felt a sense of fanfare and delight. Our guests commented at the reception how powerful and unique Ron's playing bolstered the experience. For any gig requiring a bagpiper of gift and charm, you cannot go wrong with Ron!

Community EventReviewed on May 19, 2014From San Francisco, CA

Ron was simply awesome. A group of friends and I hired Ron to play for us during Bay to Breakers. His bag piping skills were a big hit, and everyone loved it. He is highly skilled, friendly and professional. He walked and played with us, and handled huge crowds well. I would highly recommend Ron for any of your bagpiping needs, whether it is a serious occasion or a rowdy social event. Thanks again Ron, much appreciated.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on May 11, 2014From Paso Robles, CA

Ron was the consumate professional. Most of all, he was an extremely talented bagpiper, but he was also so easy to work with. We had an out of town party, but that was no issue for him and he was so good with his follow through. I was very impressed and extremely satisfied with Ron and Have Pipes Wiil Travel.

FuneralReviewed on January 19, 2014From Los Gatos, CA

This was a memorial service with 700-800 persons in attendance and Ron was amazing! He closed the service with a medley of hymns: Come Thou Font of Every Blessing, Love Devine, All Loves Excelling, and Amazing Grace. He played the hymns impeccably and with grace. People were blown away by the poignant way the service ended and the beauty of the way Ron played the Bagpipes. Ron is a professional and more than accommodating. He listens, advises and generously lends his expertise. He went the extra mile on the preparation. He is patient and peaceful and simply a joy to work with. I highly recommend him for any special event. Ron is also very reasonably priced.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on April 28, 2014From Fresno, CA

Ron was great! He provided us with a list of songs he knew, which is quite extensive, so we mostly chose from that list, however he was willing to learn new songs. In fact, there was one song on his list that is traditionally played very slowly, but for a wedding we wanted it to be played with an up tempo and he did exactly that. He was VERY accommodating. He even stuck around and played a few extra songs while we had pictures taken (he checked with us first). It was wonderful! Throughout the process he was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond to questions.... Of all the vendors we worked with for the wedding, our interaction with Ron was the least stressful.
