Mr Bruce Wright and his spouse were very nice and professional. He looked fantastic and sounded wonderful. He showed up on time and was ready to play. However, I thought it was a little pricy ($200) for him to come and play only one 60 sec song. I would have expected a little more playing time and willingness to show off his tallent.

I would have been delighted to play more - but was never asked, and everything was so tightly organized I didn't want to do anything that wasn't wanted. Normally unless I'm playing a very long time, I charge a flat fee whether I'm playing for a minute or an hour, plus travel expenses if I have to drive a distance, which was the case for this gig.

Bruce wright was professional, talented, and charming. We had a meeting with him before the event and he was extremely knowledgable about traditional bagpipe music. His performance at our wedding was flawless and his rates are very reasonable. If you get him for your event, you won't be disappointed.

It suddenly started raining right before our ceremony started and Bruce stood in the rain so he could see us coming and start playing the wedding march when I walked down the aisle. He's very experienced and a lovely bagpipe player. We were so happy we chose him!

Bruce was an amazing bagpiper. I can't recommend him highly enough! All of our guests are still talking about how well and great he played and looked! We did not have a rehearsal and left Bruce open to play what he felt was best and he did not disappoint! I would definitely hire him again! If you need a piper for your event, you have to call Bruce!!

We wanted bagpipes at our wedding to play in memory of my grandfather, but were on a tight budget. Bruce Wright not only accomodated us pricewise, but was very professional and experienced. He showed up early (where we showed up late, ha!), but was very friendly to us and our wedding party. Our guests very much enjoyed the element he brought to our wedding.

Mr. Wright arrived well ahead of time to scope out the area and to prepare. He played beautifully, walking around the quad outside while people arrived for the funeral. It was very inspiring to hear the sound of the bagpipe as folks arrived. The last song we heard just as we (the pastors and family) were entering the church was "Amazing Grace."

Bruce helped to make my Mom's 90th birthday party the hit of Greensboro. I was in China when we set it up over email. We even scheduled his appearance to be a surprise to her.... and a surprise it was. A week later, she and her friends are still talking about it.
Bruce played some traditional and special tunes. He made it interesting by even explaining the Scottish connections to some of the songs. Ever heard 'Happy Birthday' sung to 'the pipes'? T'is a lot of fun.
Bruce is a professional...plays and instructs with NC State pipers and provides private instruction. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
