David is an experienced World Class Bagpiper, and one of the very talented and amazing performers we hired to perform at our 50th Golden and Royal Wedding Anniversary Celebration. He was very professional, friendly, and did everything we requested. His performance was incredible, and everyone who attended our event enjoyed his performance. David Ibboston was amazing at our wedding over the weekend.
His performance was one of the many highlights aside from my beatuiful bride. The bagpiping set the tone for the whole night and made for wonderful evening. He was awesome in his recommendation in selecting the wedding party song, the bridal entrance, and our grand entrance announced as husband and wife. My siblings and I hired David Ibbotson to perform at my Dad's Celebration of Life on Sunday, 1/28/12. David was great! He was on time, friendly, respectful and very accommodating. When my father entered the house for his surpirse party and heard David playing it brought tears to his eyes! My father turned 82 & David contributed to making an incredible day for my father! Piper Dave was an amazing surprise for my husband at our wedding! He arrived in normal clothes at the start of the ceremony and then quickly changed into traditional clothing while we were saying our vows. He slyly started playing as soon as we were announced husband and wife and gave the entire audience chills with his bagpiping talent! It was absolutely perfect! I've already recommended him to one of my friends and will continue to do so! Everything about working with him was great and I highly recommend him to everyone reading this post!

David played perfectly spectacular at my friends Wedding Ceremony. I was uncertain how bagpipers play in a wedding, he suggested some options which worked out brilliantly. He looked very professional with his neatly pressed Kilt and his clean uniform. When David started playing for the wedding party, the beautiful music made the whole event come alive.
Then he started playing the Bride down the aisle and she seemed like she was glowing. Everyone kept commenting on how awesome the Bagpipes sounded, and this would be a Wedding that they would always remember. David was just amazing. I wanted something special for my dad that is from Scotland and was turning 92 years young. David went to my parents house to play for my dad during the day at a time that my dad would be feeling great. My dad he laughed, he sang, he smiled, he cried and yes he was even dancing. Piper Dave was the greatest gift we gave to our mother on her 86th birthday. He was on time, he worked well with us as we negotiated pulling off a COVID era surprise outside birthday party with a bunch of octogenarians, he was calm when the police arrived (turned out they were there for someone else but the photos are such a great addition to the bday collection of him with his bagpipe and skirt and lots of cop cars in the background), he played beautifully and he stayed and chatted with a very talkative group of old ladies. Thank you Piper Dave, our mom will talk about this for many many years.

Piper Dave was wonderful! He truly made my mother's funeral very special. He was accommodating with last minute requests and the music was perfect. The highlight of his performance was when he piped and led us to the grave side of my mother. It was something I will always cherish and was beautiful beyond words. David Ibbotson was very easy to work with. We hired him through Gigmasters one week before the event, and I spoke with him on the phone to go over the details. Yesterday we scattered at sea our parents' ashes. My mother was from Scotland and, as a child, I took bagpipe lessons myself. David's performance was just what we needed in order to make the event complete. he came early to be instructed on when and where he was to perform. Followed instructions perfectly. Very effective for the funeral service (some said they were o.k. until the bagpipe started, cried). I would hire again if ever needed.

David showed up early and, introduced himself. I showed him where he was to perform and he did so immediately. Played the songs that we requested and a few of his own choices. The crowd thoroughly enjoyed it and applauded after each song and had a nice conversation with him afterwards then offered him food and drink. If you ever need a bagpiper to perform for you for any occasion, I would highly recommend David. He's very professional in all aspects. Thanks again David, you were the best!

Dave performed at the memorial service for our mother. He has a soulful presence. Dave played the bagpipes beautifully and from his heart. Everyone was deeply moved. Dave incorporated our requests with ease and grace. We were so happy to have him become part of the service. We feel lucky to have had Dave as our bagpiper and would highly recommend him.
