Bride's choice award! A better sounding and fully Highland dressed professional bagpiper for hire. I have the exceptional talent and experience, having piped and competed for over 40 years. I'm the only piper who offers the traditional Highland bagpipe and the softer Gibson bagpipe. This isn't my hobby like it is for most- this is my full time job! I pipe for 100's of events every year- at some of the largest venues in Michigan and Ohio. WEDDINGS - Whether you're looking for one tune, or a day filled with "Scottish or Irish flavor"; I offer a great sounding selection of Scottish and Irish tunes. Tunes such as; "Highland Cathedral", "Scotland the Brave", or the very sweet Irish song- "When Irish Eyes are Smiling". Looking for something more traditional? How about; "Here comes the Bride"? The theme from the movie Braveheart; "For the Love of a Princess", is romantic and extremely popular with brides. The STARZ hit series "Outlander" theme song is quickly becoming another favorite! Two of my most requested tunes are "Stars Wars" and the U of M fight song- perfect for a groom's entrance!

FUNERALS AND MEMORIALS –I am the preferred bagpiper at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. There is nothing that touches the heart more, than to see a bagpiper in FULL Highland Regalia, and to hear an exceptionally talented piper playing "Amazing Grace", "Going Home", "Danny Boy" or "When Irish Eyes are smiling". A piper is appropriate for any size funeral, memorial or military service; at the church, funeral home, cemetery, hall or home.  For Military events; Taps, Army song and the Marine Corp. Hymn are available. The U of M fight song is my most requested song! 

SCOTTISH PARTIES, CELTIC OR IRISH THEMED EVENTS – My unique piping show and performance is very entertaining- always a hit! Perfect for parties, schools, libraries, senior centers and assisted living facilities. This 20-60 minute (content and time can be adjusted to meet your needs) interactive program includes; a nice selection of tunes piped on a variety of bagpipes, interesting fun facts and folklore about bagpipes and my incredible piping attire, and a wee bit of Scottish history. Appropriate for any size group, and all ages. Very popular at schools and libraries!  I can also include teaching a couple simple highland dance steps, with audience participation. This is not a concert. 
Please note: This program is not appropriate for special needs groups, long term care rehab centers or nursing homes. The bagpipes are VERY VERY Loud! Please take this into consideration when planning an event for your group. Room size is also very important!

Some of my favorite piping events include; opening for the premier of the movie "Our Vietnam Generation" at the Fox, The Moving Wall visiting Hamburg MI, Relay for Life, MGM Grand Hotel and Detroit Yacht Club weddings, Dewar's Highland Honey Whiskey premier event, and an HBO reality series in W. Bloomfield. I have also piped at many public libraries and senior citizen centers including Clawson, Ferndale and Royal Oak. You'll hear me in the Detroit Metro area every St Patty's Day, piping for Hubert distributors and Guinness!

~The traditional Great Highland Bagpipes- perfect for any indoor or outside event.  These are the loud pipes everyone is familiar with and loves; great for churches and other large indoor and outside venues.  Nothing says "WOW" like these pipes! 
~Gibson Small Pipes- perfect for small, indoor, more intimate settings where a softer bagpipe volume would be more appropriate; adds a nice touch of Scottish/Irish "flavor" without the overwhelming volume. A special selection of Irish and Scottish tunes are available.

Kim Johnson was so very professional and kindly personable from the day I found her online and contacted her.  She was verily helpful answering my questions then as well as the day of my husbands funeral.  Everyone commented to me afterwards how wonderful her pipping was and she looked amazing in her highland dress.  Even afterwards Kim texted me thanking me, which meant a lot too! Kim was quick to reply to my quote request.  It was a last minute idea to have bagpipes for my boyfriends 40th Birthday.  He loves his irish roots and enjoyed the surprise.
