Tim was professional,courteous,on time. I couldn't of ask for more at my husbands memorial service. I spoke to Tim before the service and told him how my husband loved bagpipe music and of his heritage of being a full blooded Irishman.
Every one at the service was very impressed with Tim. I would fully recommend him to anyone who is looking for a bagpiper!!!
Thanks Tim for a memorable send off for my husband who served his country so valiantly for almost 25 years !!!!!

Tim Akins played the bagpipes for my father-in-law's graveside service with full military honors. We had to reschedule several times due to Hurricane Irma, and Tim was always professional and friendly each time we had to make a change. I can't tell you what an incredible feeling washed over me as my husband pulled our car into the cemetery, and I saw Tim standing there in his kilt, playing a haunting tune on the bagpipes while the soldiers stood there in formation with my father-in-law's casket. Everyone there agreed that hearing him play added to the poignancy of the day, and I am truly grateful he could be there.

Tim was so very professional and talented. He played beautifully and everyone commented on his playing. When the service was over he roamed around the cemetery playing and was again just beautiful. As the family procession of cars were leaving he stood near the exit and played for us. I would recommend him highly. I being a Director of Music appreciate his talent and professionalism. Thank you Tim for being a very special part of my mothers funeral.

Tim played at my parents funeral and my Father had requested a bagpiper playing the Ohio State fight song. Tim learned the fight song just for this occasion, he also played Amazing Grace as well as other beautiful music. I highly recommend Tim for any occasion.

Tim was very easy to talk too and to make arrangements for our mothers funersl at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Tim was very responsive to our request and he played while the guests arrived, played Amazing Grace after the service and played as the guests were leaving. Everyone enjoyed the bagpipe music, since as a military spouse, but not a veteran, my mother was not eligible for taps.

Tim was highly accommodating and even played the bagpipe outside our historic church for 15 min or so prior to the service.
We were celebrating the Kirkin o' the Tartans as well as our 144th anniversary of our church being established.
It was very festive with Mr Akins' playing throughout our service.

Mr. Akins travelled to Savannah to play at my mother's graveside memorial service. In every respect, he was absolutely wonderful. He arrived exactly when planned, wearing full highland dress. He conferred with the minister and myself before the service, understood exactly what we wanted, and provided background music before and after the service. In fact he struck up "Amazing Grace" as we closed and everyone spontaneously began to sing. He is a very talented piper. My family has Scottish ancestry and my mother loved the bagpipes; Mr. Akins contributions to the ceremony were beautiful and deeply appreciated by us all. Thank you so much.

Tim played the bagpipes and the piano for my mom's funeral service. She had always said that she wanted bagpipes played for her at her service when she passed. Tim's music was moving. The bagpipes performance was the highlight of the event. The entire wedding party walked two hundred yards from the site of the wedding to the reception area and Tim led the crowd playing his pipes. Tim Atkins is a professional and super talented bagpipe player. We hired him to play at our sons wedding and everyone was thrilled to hear this amazing musician. When my Dad got sick it was always one of his wishes that 'Amazing Grace' be played at his funeral in the event that he passed. I found Tim on this site and immediately hired him based on his previous reviews alone. He was very professional and very good at his job. My Mother is from Scotland and she loved his bagpipe playing skills and he even threw in a personal request of hers by playing 'Flower of Scotland'. I would recommend Tim for any event.
