After hearing the Sassafras Bluegrass Band at a friend’s venue, I was struck by their down-to-earth presence and the remarkable skill each musician brought to the stage. We invited them to play at our daughter’s outdoor wedding reception, held under a covered tent, and they truly set the tone for a joyful, memorable celebration. We provided a list of announcements we wanted them to make (Bride and Groom entering, first dance, cake cutting, etc.) and they handled all of that for us as well. Our guests were so delighted and so were we.

Randy and the rest of the band were amazing. Incredible musicians and super professional. The wedding guests have all commented on how much they enjoyed the music and how talented they were. They adjusted multiple times to find the best acoustics and even worked in last minute song requests! Amazing!!

The band was amazing. Everyone at the event was blown away by their talent. They came exactly as scheduled, were very easy to work with, very professional, and very pleasant. It was the easiest thing to do to just listen to their online tracks, get a quote, book the experience, answer a few questions with Randy, and then have the event. We had a square dance caller as well that needed to work with them to weave her sets in with theirs, and they did this very well. The owner of the event has already asked me to book them for the same time next year. Can't recommend more highly.

These guys are awesome! The level of professionalism, talent, and good energy made our wedding reception so much fun. They showed up a little early, so the ceremony was still happening. They sat in their truck out of sight until the ceremony was over and then set up just in time to start playing. Perfect timing! They worked with us on all the details and were super aware of what was going on, like speeches, cake cutting, etc. Not to mention their work ethic. I hired them for 5 hours and they only took two short breaks to warm up (it was very cold). I would recommend Sassafras to anyone in the area who loves bluegrass and is looking for a great time! Thanks!

When I hired the Sassafras Bluegrass Band to play at my wife's birthday party, I didn’t realize I was getting the best of the best. The Grand Ole Opry alumns graced our home as if they were old family friends. They were humble, unassuming, gracious, and professional. Their talent is apparent from the moment the first note is played. The guys played ambient music during dinner and then a full blown concert afterwards. They even served as accompaniment for me while I seranaded my wife and friends. They took requests, cleaned up, and left with several new fans. On top of everything, they drive 3 hours to get here. I simply cannot recommend them enough.

Sassafras was perfect every step of the way for my husbands 40th birthday, from communicating to make the arrangements all the way to the wonderful music at the party. Most of our guests had little prior exposure to bluegrass, and all were impressed and asking how I found Sassafras. Our 4 year old son jumped on stage(our backyard deck) with them with his toy guitar and they were very welcoming and encouraging to him. I would not hesitate to hire them again or to recommend them to you, friends, family or anyone else looking for live music for an event!
