No words can describe how satisfied we were with Stone Mt Road, except EXTREMELY. I contacted Jimmy by email and he was very professional. We wanted to know if he'd be up for doing a procession at our wedding--basically being on a beach to play a few songs, then walking and playing through an 8-10 minute walk back to our reception location. He thought that was a great idea and loved it. Once back at the reception, they played the entire cocktail hour to 140 guests and even did background on Wagon Wheel for my family as we got up to sing and play with them. Great guys and my guests could not stop talking about how amazing they were. THANKS STONE MY ROAD! You rock!!!

Stone Mountain Road is fantastic! They just played 3 sets at our annual backyard party which was "Bourbon, BBQ & Bluegrass" this year. They blew everyone away! Tremendous musicians, amazing bluegrass vocals. Jimmy and the guys were great to work with. They learned a bunch of tunes for us including a phenomenal bluegrass rendition of Prince's "Delirious" as a surprise for my wife!! I think that was a first and you should ask them to play it at your party! Stone Mountain Road all the way!!

We were extremely pleased with Stone Mountain Road band. From the planning process when we hired them last year to the wedding date July 6, Jimmy (band leader) kept in constant communication with me and sticking to details day of the wedding as discussed. Even though it was an extremely hot day and some our guests had left early, the band continued to play through their contracted time-frame as remaining guests continued to dance.
By far the best Bluegrass Style band I've found on the East Coast. I highly recommend them for any events. You wont be disappointed.

Jimmy and band were absolutely incredible. They sounded amazing, were very flexible and accommodating, and even learned a couple of new songs for us (such great heights by the Postal Service). I would 100% recommend them for any wedding, party, or get together of any sort!

I just loved everything about Stone Mountain Road. They played for our wedding cocktail hour and for the first portion of the dancing, and were just amazingly talented and sweet musicians. From the time I contacted them, they were completely professional but laid back, accommodated requests for them learning songs (and learned them perfectly), were on time and set up without any hassle, rolled with the atmosphere of the party and had our guests stomping their feet and dancing for the whole time they were playing. I would whole-heartedly recommend Stone Mountain Road for any party with fun loving people excited to dance to great bluegrass music.
Wedding Cocktail Hour•Reviewed on September 3, 2011•From Stockton, NJ
Stone Mt Road came out and played for our ceremony and cocktail hour in spite of Hurricane Irene's proximity to our wedding in Stockton, NJ. Jimmy and the guys were in touch in the days leading up to the wedding, and they reassured us each time that they'd come out for our event as long as we were still having it. In light of our DJ canceling two hours before the wedding, Stone Mt Road were the heroes of the day. The music was fantastic, they were cheerful in spite of the storm, and all of our guests loved them. We think there's a good chance that we'll see them again at any number of our friends' weddings in the future. Thank you, Stone Mt Road!

These guys were fantastic - they impressed a group of professional musicians, including Jim Lord, Mark Sganga (National Fingerpicking Champion), and many more who were present that day -- to the point were our musician guests were up playing with the band - excellent!! Their talent and beautiful tight harmonies were amazing. EVERYONE loved them. We highly recommend them and will definitely have them back again.

Jimmy and the band came out to West Park to play our wedding on 8/21, and we couldn't be happier! They were all incredibly professional, funny, and great to dance to! My guests all enjoyed the music and had a great time. Thanks so much for being a part of our wedding day and making it so unique! I will recommend Stone Mt. Road to anyone who asks!

Stone Mountain Road is a very talented group of musicians. They arrived on time, set up and got started on time. Our wedding reception was outside in a tent. At one point we lost power. It was only off for about 10 minutes. The band was asked to continue to play during that time and all of guys were game but one. This guy started complaining. I would def. hire this band again but would ask that the one guy not be involved. At 10:30 they took a 15 min break. I would rather they played until 10:45 and then be done as most people began to leave during the 10:30 break. On a positive note everyone enjoyed their music and everyone danced.

Stone Mt. Road is talented and professional. They were great at coordinating by phone and arrived on time. They were also easy going and able to allow us to get all that we needed to schedule in during our wedding reception (speeches, announcements etc.). They played to the crowd and mixed in slow songs with fun dancing songs. Everyone loved the music. I highly recommend Stone Mt. Road to anyone that is looking for a bluegrass band. Thanks for making our day so special.

Fantastic! Stone Mt Road played at our wedding, and they were just perfect. Not only are they superb musicians, but they are extraordinarily nice to work with - professional but laid back and pleasant. Would hire them again in a heartbeat.

The band was the only factor in the entire wedding planning process I never had to worry about. The band was very accomodating to my requests, and they even willingly learned a couple of new songs that were near and dear to us. The band has a large repertoire and every song was wonderful. They worked very hard, played very well, and were worth every bit of their fee (and then some). Everyone at the wedding commented that the band really "made" the event, and folks who had said they didn't like bluegrass came away with a new appreciation for the genre.

Jimmy is a cool guy. He played the cocktail hour at our wedding and the guests were amazed and very interested at his use of multiple instruments including the banjo, dobro, and guitar. He sounded great!!! Thanks Jimmy!

Jimmy was incredibly positive, friendly, accommodating, and just completely happy to be at our wedding! A really good guy and a great group of musicans. Their bluegrass music was perfect for our picnic wedding! Everyone raved about their sound and presence.
