My residents absolutely loved having Mr Davis come perform. The best thing to me personally was the way he interacted with residents while playing. He sang beautiful and played amazingly! We cant wait To have him back with us again soon !

These guys were suberp Their music is great. Good blues, upbeat, and you can dance your ass off. Mel read the crowd well. At our outdoor event the weather was a challange. They manned up and didn’t flinch or bitch. Real professionals. Hire them.

Huge shout out to Mel & The Blues Specialists! They were timely, professional, and kicked off right on time. Level of noise was perfect, guests loved the entertainment, and the style of music catered to our Crawfish Boil perfectly. I would definitely recommend for any event!!

Mel Davis and the Blues Specialists played for our store opening and did a fantastic job. Their music was the perfect accompaniment to the evening and they played at a level where our guests could still talk and hear one another. I would absolutely recommend them and would hire them again in the future.

I own Hill Country Water Gardens in Cedar Park. I have one big night event each year with live music. The Blues Specialist were a perfect match. Great sound. My guest loved the feel. Mel and the band were great to work with, the only reason that it is not all 5's, couple of guys were a little late and one member didn't make it. Would definitely book again.

Mel and his crew added a wonderful vibe to my son's 15th birthday party. Everyone enjoyed them very much: the kids, danced, the teens (who were all musicians) enjoyed the groove and talent of the band, and we old-sters sang along. They were on time, very personable, and a pleasure to have around. If I had one complaint, it would be that they were unresponsive to texts/phone calls two days before the event, when I was wanting to see about adding a trumpet to the ensemble. The lack of response made me freak out a little that I might be left bandless at the last minute....But all 's well that ends well, and Mel's band helped to make my sons birthday extra special!

They were simply amazing! Without direction, they kept the tone and volume of the music appropriate to the phase of the evening. The music was outstanding. All my guests raved about their talent. They were a pleasure to dance to, listen to, interact with. All members of the band were professional and friendly to chat with during the breaks. I'd recommend them to anyone for any special event. They turned my wedding reception into a great party.
