5 STARS all the way! Already planning for next year. Mel, Rob, Larry and Mr. B were a joy to work with. Very professional, friendly, low maintenance. We had several musicians in the crowd and they were extremely impressed with their talent. Highly recommend them and will definitely repeat the experience. They made a fantastic evening truly special!

Mel Davis & the Blues Specialists is a great group of performers for a low-key, relaxing, fun party atmosphere. Very unassuming, but talented and bring a bluesy and light rock feel to liven up the party. Easy to work with -- they set up and break down quickly and efficiently and are just pros! Definitely recommend them for a party or dinner.

The group was there early for setup, and as soon as they broke into their soundcheck... everyone working to setup for our event stopped what they were doing, smiled and said yup this is exactly what we wanted in a group. Our customers and business partners that joined us said that of all the convention hospitality events they attended, ours was the best by far. Mel Davis and his Blues Specialists were a big part of a successful night. I would recommend them for anyone who wants a lively high quality a musician myself so have higher standards than your average corporate talent buyer. I could not have been happier. The Blues Specialists were the perfect addition to our wedding. We had so many compliments on their talent and true blues authenticity. Their music was awesome and perfectly fit in with the feel of the wedding. People even asked if they were going to play again after dinner! The music was great and they were so easy to work with. Overall, we would definitely recommend the Blues Specialists for an awesome, entertaining, bluesy atmosphere!

This is the second year The Blues Specialists have played for event. Again, this year everyone enjoyed their music. I think many people came this year because they had heard about the great band from the previous year.

They are a nice group to have at our party, wonderful music and great personalities. Fun to have them mingle with the crowd when they're on break. Music is smooth, fun, upbeat but NOT so loud that the music took over...they where the perfect compliment to our party. Plan to book them again for our next Crawfish boil.

This band was excellent! They came all the way out to Concan TX (hours away from Austin) even when their lead singer was suffering from recent injuries. Their sound was extremely professional, they were able to take a country-western song request (our first dance) and make it their own. They can make your non-dancing relatives into rock-stars. Everyone loved them and enjoyed their music. Great for all ages. Great for people who like to get down. I'd highly recommend them and wish I could pack them up and take them home with me.

We most definitely recommend the Blues Specialists for any event. They were so much fun at our wedding. Mel and the guys accommodated our request for two specific songs that we wanted them to play--and they did a great job with them both. All of our guests were impressed by the talent of the group, and especially by how much fun they were having (and that we had so much fun dancing all night).

the blues specialists were absolutely terrific at our wedding. the band itself is so talented and everyone loved the sound. the correspondence beforehand was handled very professionally and they were very easy to work with. i feel lucky to have found them on such short notice. i will definitely recommend them to all of my friends and family for future events...and will keep them on my mind for any celebrations we might have in the future:)

We had Blues Specialists perform at our wedding and they were fabulous! All of our guests commented at how talented they were. And I was thrilled at how affordable they were. These are old school, super talented performers....AMAZING. They were on time, played full sets, and performed very well (great sound/instrumentation, etc). I've been telling everyone I know!
