Everyone had great time at my wedding! Would definitely higher him again for another event and would recommend to everyone. He is very friendly. It’s hard to capture Rob in a short review. He is a very interesting guy - some might say a bit quirky. He’s not a cartoonist or caricature artist as much as he is a life story teller. Almost all of my guests were thrilled with the portrait he did of them. A few thought he was a bit off and didn’t appreciate the inferences, and said he didn’t connect the dots in their story properly. That said, Rob seems best in a setting where he can “perform” for an audience as he interacts with the subject and draws out their life story. He cranked out many portraits over 3 hours - worked very hard. I would highly recommend him. Talk with him in advance to sync expectations.

Rob is so personable and friendly that he made me and my guess feel at ease the entire time he was at our event. The finished products were outstanding. All of my guests were pleased with his work and are interested in using him for one of their parties. He did a fabulous job!

This experience was far beyond my expectations. All of his pictures told a story about the person he was drawing. I had well over 75 people there and all who wanted to take advantage of this experience were able to. He even stayed a little longer without charge and I certainly appreciated it.

Hired Rob for our Veterans Day wedding & couldn't have been more pleased. This man is an artist, a storyteller, a novelty, a one in a million entertainer! Our guests are still talking about him to this day & others framed & hung his art in their homes. He moved mountains to make it to us (drove 500+ miles, car broke down, & even had his home robbed!); we are so thankful that he did. His work left our guests amazed, and he provided a "favor" to our guests that cannot be touched by anything that we could write our names and the date on. I would recommend him to ANYONE having a get together, he does amazing work, and has a personality that lights up the entire event!!!

Rob was wonderful at our employee appreciation event on 11/5 & 6. We hired to artist for the two days and they accommodated 151 people on the 5th and 102 on the 6th. They were the hit of the event. I don't know why we didn't think of this before this year but we will Defiantly hire them again next year and even for other events we have for fund raising. I recommend these two artist, Rob Smith and Marsha Eaton for any event. They really are a hit and everyone enjoys what they bring to the day. Thank you Rob and Marsha

Awesome experience very personable gentlemen stayed about an hour beyond required time the colored art he did for me and my wife is totally something we’re having framed. He gets to know who he is drawing and puts real character in it, always in a very fun and positive way. Very friendly and prompt. Rob was great, a lot of people loved their caricature drawing. Only thing was we wished he drew more than one person at a time. But other than that his work is awesome!

Luis, Thank you for having me at your wedding! I love the Kapok Tree! I make sure I speak to each person, as I did with you, that hires me as soon as I can after a booking to go over all I do to add to the event. We spoke again about what I do a few weeks before the wedding. I always express how I actually draw people and don't do the simple formula work at the tourist places. I mentioned, since I actually draw the person, I'm unable to draw multiple people. That's how I get the best likeness possible and make each drawing very special to each person. He was a great conversationalist amongst our guests and they were able to take home a special drawing of themselves. We have had Rob to a special project for us a gift to someone, plus a wedding rehearsal. After 25 years we still have our caricatures. Rob was a major hit at Westminster. His artistic skills were fantastic, his interaction with everyone was perfect and had stayed till everyone got their picture drawn. People just stood around and watched him draw because his work was so good. Our group plans to have him back again. Our employees were so impressed they are planning to hire him for one of their events. He is a winner.

Rob is a super nice, very personable guy and easy for our Guests to relate to and communicate with. Our Guests were very impressed and happy with his work. The only complaint was with a party of 80 people, he had a waiting line of guests and took an average of 25-30 mins to draw them. Yet, they were thrilled with his work. I would recommend him!
