I must say, Rob is not your typical "caricature" artist! He really gets to know his subjects which is depicted in his drawings. The staff loved having him there and he really captures each individuals personality in his drawings! He was awesome! I highly recommend Cartoons By Rob Smith, Jr.

Mr. Smith was great. We used him for a professional organization holiday party. He was great with the guests, and knew a ton about local history, which only added the conversation. His art was amazing and we've gotten a lot of great feedback from our members.

Rob did a fantastic job entertaining guests at our wedding September 2017! He was very responsive leading up to the event, thorough with the details, and arrived to the venue early to make sure he was ready when the reception started. I would definitely book him again. Everyone raved at how great he was and he literally drew the entire night! He had a line the whole evening, because everyone wanted to get a caricature. This was definitely the best wedding favor I could have given my guests. Please consider booking Rob for your next event! He is very talented, professional and very reasonably priced. He was very nice. My guests enjoyed their pictures. However, he asked me, the bride and my now husband to provide him pictures weeks before the wedding so he could have our picture drawn up so we wouldn't have to take time from the wedding and he never drew the picture and now still 2 months after the wedding he hasn't drawn our picture or is returning or calls. You would think at least the bride and groom would have gotten a picture.

Tara,the complementary picture has been done since May, as we discussed. Your friends at the Riverview bar-b-q spot reviewed the illustration the day after your wedding prior to my painting it. Prior I had spoken to your husband of troubles getting the art done as i juggle various projects. The caveat: Getting the illustration to you.
We tried to meet while I was helping with Dr.Carson event, but, as we also discussed, logistics got in both our way. I called you & had also not heard back. I've lost too much in the mail to mail it & haven't been back in your area since June 9th. I'll get it to you as soon as possible or feel free to meet me near Ocala anytime.- Ro

All around awesome guy! His pictures are amazing, not just some goofy drawing. He asks you about your likes and incorporates that into the picture. He works fast and was able to do 45 pictures in 3 hours! I would highly recommend him for any party or event!

The connection that he established with the residents of our senior community was really powerful, as he quickly captured their interests and personalities in their sketch portraits. Rob was a hit at my brunch wedding reception. He is extremely talented and personable with his subjects. As he is interacting with them and gets to know a little about them, he includes something unique and personal to the subject in their drawing.
Prior to arriving at our reception, Rob had a color drawing of me and my (then) fiancé he'd drawn from photos we sent to him. It was fantastic!

We hired Rob Smith, Jr. for our wedding reception in late February and he was a hit! Our guests loved him! He took the time to ask each guest questions about themselves and customized their drawing to reflect each of their unique personalities and interests. It was so much fun looking at everyone's drawing and figuring out what they must have told him. He was very professional and responsive and arrived to our reception way ahead of time to ensure he was set up and ready to go. His price was beyond reasonable and everyone thought having a caricaturist was such a fun and unique alternative to the usual wedding photo booth. We recommend Rob Smith, Jr. 100%!

He is a fantastic artist. I was not happy that he was not willing to do couples photos but the photos he did were great. Everyone really enjoyed him and he made sure that everyone who wanted a drawing, received one. I wish that I was able to get one myself but he was in such high demand that time ran out. I would highly recommend him.

Thank you for the kind words. Sorry about the confusion. I was sure to call you, as i always do, before accepting the event and going over what i do and how different it is from what others do. My approach to what I do doesn't make me able to draw groups of people as i made sure to explain, among other aspects of the event. If I can tell there is any confusion with this, i turn down the event.
I was concerned about the gap of time not drawing during the mystery theater, but folks started coming out and I stayed longer hoping to make up for the short period during the theater.
