Jerry was excellent to work with, and I'd recommend him for any event. We hired him to play as our guests exited the church after our wedding ceremony in NYC. Communication with him via email was easy, and we simply requested a few songs while leaving the rest up to him. He was in great attire and timed his start perfectly as guests were exiting. He even continued playing as our wedding party walked down the street to the area where we were taking pictures - was a big hit with all of our guests and passersby!

Jerry is the real deal. As a surprise for the bride at her wedding, her comment was "He's legit! Jerry was sharp, prompt, communicative, accommodating and cheerful. He went out of his way to acknowledge the bride and her family. If you've ever heard pipers that are of only mediocre talent, you appreciate someone who can play well. I think Jerry aka "The NYC Piper" was fantastic. I used him for a work event. My boss changed the date and times consistently within the day , then the week of the event. Jerry was accommodating and did his best to work with us for a time that would work best for all. the day of, my boss was about an hour late and Jerry never complained!! not once. He took it all in stride and did a fantastic job. the people at the office loved his performance and he is someone I would use again in a heartbeat and highly recommend.

This is the second time I have hired Jerry to play bagpipes for an event. The first time was a surprise for my then boyfriend's birthday (which was a great success!) And this time was as a surprise for my now husband at our wedding reception, at the Central Park Boathouse. Not only is Jerry incredibly talented, he was professional and very thoughtful considering the importance of this event. He was very flexible in terms of timing (it had to be the right moment!) and was very gracious in his entrance, performance, and exit. The performance was a magical moment at our wedding that our guests are still raving about. We are thrilled Jerry could be a part of the day!

We were in need of hiring a bagpiper for an eclectic Memorial Service to be held in a bar / lounge in Manhattan's LES. In conversation with Jerry about the event, it was apparent that he was a seasoned professional. I immediately knew we were in good hands. Jerry was amazing, his communication was perfect and his talent exceptional. We hired him to surprise my Scottish mother in Madison park, he played by the statue and walked (an amazing sound and sight) us to our car while playing. Amazing experience, highly recommend him. WE ARE SO HAPPY WITH OUR BAGPIPER, MR. JERRY DIXON! Mr. Dixon came to the wedding ceremony about an hour earlier than the start to practice with our church organist. He made sure the music, a Scottish piece, was played perfectly! He was dressed in his impressive Fraternal Order of Police Kilt, and made quite an impression on our guests. He played outside of the church to entertain arriving guests, then again when the bride entered the Procession, and also to pipe out our newly married son & daughter in law. He also played outside of the church after the wedding. Mr. Dixon made our day very special! Highly recommend him for your wedding! A true professional!
