Stop calling around and hire these folks for your wedding. Now. They took my wedding to the next level and even performed a song I provided an arrangement for. (Nothing Else Matters, Metallica). Hearing this during my dinner at the Detroit Zoo really knocked it out of the park. There was a mix of traditional and popular pieces that we selected off their list. Hektor was very responsive and accomodating. Received multiple compliments from guests that happen to be gigging musicians. No hesitation hiring them again.

They were wonderful-- they had a beautiful sound, and we received many positive compliments from our guests. Moreover, at the last minute we had our nephew ( who is a professional trumpet player) accompany them for the bridal professional which was amazing!! The Star String Group was perfect for the wedding renewal ceremony and brunch reception. I had so many people come up to me complimenting the group and how well they performed a wide range of music. We had a mix of contemporary, modern, romantic and water music. It was perfect and they played so beautifully. I would highly recommend this group for any event. I would give Hector and Star Quartet a 6 star if I could.
They reached out to me with a very competitive offer and followed up with a phone call which made me feel that they really want my business. We met in person with Hector the head of the quartet in his private home where he played a few tunes for us, not only did he did a fantastic job playing but he also helped us put together the song list for our wedding. He was very patient and nice during the entire process.
In the big day they were absolutely incredible! Everybody enjoyed their performance so much and Hector and the team even helped us out by playing another hour when the reception ran over time!

Hektor was amazing to work with. He was very responsive to every email and provided the highest service possible. I personally didn't get to enjoy the string quartet because we had them mostly for cocktail hour before we arrived at the reception, but I heard amazing things from our guests. Star String Quartet did play our first dance for me and my husband it and it was absolutely beautiful. I would recommend them to anyone!

This group was phenomenal!! We had a violinist (Hektor), cellist and harpist play at my Mother's 90th birthday party. I have had several follow up emails asking for the name of the group that played. About 80% of the guests (out of 114 people!) came up to me specifically to state their happiness with the group and the selections that they played. Our parish priest has asked for the name of your website as well as the group! This group was so incredibly flexible; I had special requests for many pieces and Hektor was open to anything we wanted to do. He met with me in advance to play a few selections (at no charge) and kept in touch through the entire process.

We hired them for our wedding - and could not have been happier. We recivied several compliments, and my wife's brother hired them for his wedding as well. They're flexible with music selection, and willing to make special pricing arrangments for non typical scenarios - for example we had a cocktail hour, after our wedding. They arrived on time, were professional, and made the day more memorable for everybody.

We contacted star string quartet on extremely short notice (1 week prior) for our wedding. Hector was professional and even met with us to play a sample of music at his home. We had a string duo (cello and violin),which was perfect for our small, brunch wedding. They played as guests were seated, during the ceremony, and for cocktail hour..and we received RAVE reviews from guests. It was the perfect touch! The only thing I would have done differently would have been to hire them for our reception too, so my husband and I could have enjoyed their music as well. It's been almost 2 weeks and guests are still talking about how great the music was! We would hire again!

The Star String Quartet was wonderful! We hired them to play for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Their music selection was nicely varied and their sound is exceptional. I am a musician and wanted a string quartet that played in tune and with musicality! I found both with this quartet! I told Hektor, the principal violinist, my concerns about wanting to find a high quality group and he immediately suggested we meet so I could hear him play! I was completely satisfied and would highly recommend this group for anyone needing a string quartet to play!

Hektor and the Star String Quartet were an excellent addition to our wedding. Communication was always prompt and efficient, they handled our special request excellently and provided suggestions for additional prelude and postlude music. They were prompt and professional on the day of the wedding, and the performance was excellent. Hektor removed all the stress from the ceremony music (both in preparation and execution) and the quartet is one that I recommend highly.
