They were fantastic, thank you. Good folks, great players, fast readers. the only problem we had was an unusual one, that they didnt use pick- ups to amplify the strings, the clip on mics are really not suited for a rock band with quartet and kept on feeding back, that was the local sound mans mistake in assuming it would suffice.

It was truly a pleasure for us to work with you, Carter and Yuen, on your wedding and reception-- you, your family and guests were truly wonderful in accommodating and including us in your festivities! And it was a joy to be aboard the Sierra Rose on Lake Tahoe...what a beautiful day! Our only regret was not being able to take you up on your offer to share lunch with you, as one of our musicians had to be back in Sacramento for an evening gig, and nothing makes a musician sadder than missing an opportunity to break bread with wonderful people...thank you thank you!

We hired Millington Strings for an ourdoor wedding reception. They were excellent! We received numerous compliments from our guests on our choice of performers. The group's eclectic song list was outstanding and exceptionally entertaining as many of the guests were pleasantly surprised that a string quartet would play so many "pop" songs instead of simply the traditional classics.

Millington Strings is a very professional ensemble, perfect for an elegant wedding. They provided the entire event with a wonderful air of sophistication! We were married on the Yacht Safari Rose on beautiful Lake Tahoe, and Millington played before and during the wedding, as well as during the hotel cocktail hour. They always played just the right selections at just the right time. We loved them and our guests loved them. Steve Millington was a pleasure to work with, and he was always available for communication regarding any and all relevant details. We highly recommend them for any elegant affair!

My husband and I got married on June 9, 2012 at the beautiful Viansa Winery in Sonoma. I was looking for a reliable and versatile string trio. I was very pleased with their repertoire. I spoke with Steve Millington over the phone and via email. He understood my overall vision and executed nicely. It was one less thing to worry about for my wedding. The day was AMAZING! Because of the changing weather, we had to quickly adapt to an indoor space. Millington Strings went along with the changes without a hitch. Everyone enjoyed their soothing music before the ceremony began. It gave our event a feeling of class!

When working with vendors for the first time, one never is sure what to expect, but our experience with Millington Strings was top notch. They are gifted musicians, who have play well together. Besides the music attached to their website, we also obtained their CD, which allowed us to hear a number of pieces. They have an extensive repertoire, and added a new song, at our request. Steve created an arrangement of "Chapel of Love" that was fabulous. Our guests were very complimentary with regards to the quartet. Millinton Strings is professional and personable. No- the quality of their sound bites prepared as their example pieces far exceeded their capabilities day of. I am the bride, and having played all my life in string quartets, orchestras etc asas violinist I was quite picky in chooosing my musical accompaniment. Waiting to walk down the aisle, I heard numerous mis-cues, flat notes etc; my day- of coordinator even said something to me... We expected a group of young professionals at the least, experienced instrumentalists at best. Rather, we received truly poor quality musicians far below the expectations I had set. Truly disappointed on my weddig day and wouldn't recommend hiring them.

We read here that the bride was unhappy with our services, and appreciate the opportunity to respond. We do try to provide a quality service, no matter what the circumstance. Outdoor events present unique challenges both in coordination and in performance, due to obstructed sight lines, the need for quick timing decisions and the effects of outdoor conditions on string instruments. As to missed cues, I recall one point at which lack of a clear sight line caused a short delay, but was assured by the coordinator that this was a minor glitch. As to flat notes, heat and dryness cause string instruments to need periodic retuning and adjustment, which is not always po

I am very happy with my experience with Millington Strings. They were on-time and performed above expectation. We collaborated ahead of the event regarding schedule and songs to be played. They were completely cooperative, including collaborating with a vocal soloist on a special song we desired to have performed. Exceeded all expectations, pleasant to work with, would happily refer to any whom I knew was interested in a string quartet.

DO NOT GET A DJ - Get this amazing quartet! We booked Millington Strings for our wedding and they took our wedding to the next level. We worked with them to create a wedding playlist (from their pre-created playlist) and we had mostly contemporary music from artists such as Beatles, Muse, Foo Fighters, and other recognizable songs. Cannot recommend enough, I wish I held more events to book these guys. They were a huge hit at our wedding.

Music as amazing. They do a great variety from contemporary to traditional. Music for all ages. The performance was engaging and we did not want it to end. Great for any crown and event!
