I was dinged on professionalism for this review because the owner of the venue, Oake Haven Lodge, Marianna, chewed the bride out right before the wedding ceremony for us vendors driving on her grass, which surrounded the barn venue. I honestly didn't see the signs when I drove up to the main building where the bathrooms are 200+ feet away from the barn venue. I apologized to everyone, as did the caterer, who was also guilty of grassicide. I have never been at a barn venue that did not have bathrooms for the guests; it made for a painful walk for the older ones. Yes, I was wrong, I apologized, but the rudeness of the owner, along with her bothering the bride with such right before the ceremony was inexcusable. I sincerely regret missing the signs.

Our DJ was absolutely incredible! He was so attentive and professional, even when a few things didn’t go as planned, you would have never known because he kept everything running so smoothly. The music was perfect all night; he played every song at the right time and had everyone on the dance floor. On top of that, he was so kind and easy to work with. I would hire him over and over again without hesitation! He truly made our wedding unforgettable. I didn’t get to thank him as much as I wanted to but I am so happy I chose him , it takes all the stress away when people like him are hired !

We cannot say enough amazing things about Charlie! From the very first conversation, they were professional, upbeat, and truly listened to what we envisioned for our big day. He made the entire process so easy, from planning the perfect playlist to keeping the timeline on track.
The music was absolutely flawless—every song transition was seamless, and he knew exactly how to read the crowd. He mixed in our requests perfectly and brought great energy.

So great would hire again ! We had a family emergency at the event and Charlie was fabulous throughout it calming our nerves and making us feel better we even seen him helping clean up at one point ! he went above and beyond what a dj normally does and we are very thankful! he was so awesome ! It is no mystery why we had such a great time at this wedding held at Waters Edge in Robertsdale - a beautiful country venue with a professional staff. Bride and Groom Mallory and Tim shared their entertainment vision in detail and were wonderful to work with. Eh, I would do things differently if I had the ability to.
I didn’t make many “requests” for our wedding day but the things I did as for did not happen.
All the songs played were edited when I asked for unedited. The music played did not come from my selected list. Instead of working off the form I filled out the dj worked off of whoever decided to come to the dj area and give orders. I was never asked if anyone was the party planner to listen to nor was the form I filled out followed.
Looking back it’s sad but it’s over with so what can you do.

It saddens me to see a review like this when this outcome was so unnecessary. Don't spend more time writing a bad review than you did planning for your DJ. All brides get an online account with planning, timeline & song play request forms. Halee Green completed none. All attempts to help by me were ignored until the night before the wedding; she texted me 3 ceremony songs. Her song request list of 30 90's -2000's country/pop songs I find out during pizza dinner were RSVPs from guests she uploaded without review. Her requests for booty & ghetto music (her words; not mine) were never submitted. I began playing what she demanded immediately. The people coming up to me were guests upset their requests weren't being played. In an hour, 90% of the guests & their children were gone, the bartender left early, & the reception was over 3 hours too soon. Cardi B the WAP & pizza dinner with a country wedding crowd don't mix. Don't ghost your DJ; he is there to help prevent sad endings like this.

DJ Charlie was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. He communicates with you or your coordinator efficiently to make sure everything you want is completed. We had several songs cut and different playlists throughout the night and he made the whole night perfect! Thank you!
