The Music Kitchen definitely sold me prior to the event. I was told that there would be two DJs as our party included karaoke singing and the price wasn't any more or less than others. The night of the event there was only one DJ and only one music-mixer meaning that while the next karoake song was prepped there was a minute or two of dance music. What ended up happening is that the list for karaoke was long and slow-moving with disgruntled guests. A little unorganized and often songs that were in the book for karaoke, the DJ didn't have. Also, be prepared because the DJ asked for cash or money order for the balance at the event - no advance notice that we needed to have that much cash on site to pay off the balance.

Please see this clients request prior to booking as she wrote:
"This will be a small party with a dance-floor. We are looking for a DJ/karaoke host. We'd like to do DJ/dance songs and then mix it up with karaoke as well".
Exactly what we did (as stated in clients feedback). Our service agreement states in red "Balance is due in cash or money order before start of event". Standard in this business. Many karaoke requests chosen had verses of a song not titles like in book or unreadable writing. Unfortunatly I can not quess the title and/or artist of over 15,000 karaoke songs. Nice but difficult college party. Very sorry.

We hired Jose Oliveras for our wedding. Everyone raved about the DJ and all couldn't stop asking where we found him. He incorporated all of the songs and music that we requested in such a memorable manner that people couldn't stop complimenting how beautifully it was put together. Not only would I hire the Music Kitchen again but I think most of my guests will hire him in the future.

Jose Olivera was a pro from the get go. He answers his phone when you call and responds to e-mails promptly. This gave me a great sense of comfort throughout all my dealings with him. At the event, he was all set up and ready to go 1 hour before the event. He set up his station with lighting that made it stand out and festive. My guests were thrilled with the music and he kept the party lively all throughout. If you're looking for someone with a wide variety of latin music, Jose is your man. This was the best experience I've had with a DJ and I would recommend his services whole heartedly.

Jose did a wonderful job at our first Karaoke event at our apartment community. Our managment team was very impressed with his performance and getting people to participate. In fact he did such a great job we are planning to use this DJ company for our next big upcoming community event!!!
