I was very pleased to be able to perform for the VA Assn. of Realtors and I'd say we did a great job of providing some tasteful background music. Unfortunately, my client and I had a misunderstanding regarding the start time, which had been agreed upon earlier as 5:30. However, at 5:05 she came up to me and commanded, "your band needs to take the stage now". I was surprised as much by HOW she said it, as that there was an abrupt change of plans. When I said that the contract stated, 5:30, she said, "so that's how it's going to be" and walked off. I didn't get a chance to discuss anything as I would have gladly started ahead of schedule. This was a bad rap.
