Outstanding and highly recommended! I had an unusual request for a jazz trio to perform in my sister's living room for my Dad's 85th birthday (He is a huge jazz fan, but his health has limited his mobility). Blake was a pleasure to work with - from the beginning of our email conversations, he was extremely accommodating and committed to making the event special for my Dad and my family. He created the set list based my Dad's favorite songs. The gig itself was everything we had hoped it would be - outstanding musicianship, terrific rapport and complete professionalism in every way. My Dad said it was truly a lifetime highlight for him. Hire Blake and his band!

I hired the Blake Newman group to play at a political fundraiser with 200 guests in attendance. From my initial inquiry through the performance Blake and the other musicians were responsive, professional, and friendly. Blake was exceptionally helpful during the booking process about pricing and instrument availability. The musicians arrived with plenty of time to spare and played beautifully for the full two hours, being flexible with their break to accommodate multiple speeches during the event. All of the guests raved about the group's performance and I look forwarding to working with them again soon!

I hired the Blake Newman Group to play during cocktail hour of my wedding reception (about 250 guests). I couldn't be happier with the choice! Blake and all the guys were super nice and accommodating. Most importantly, the music was stellar, it was perfect for the occasion, and everyone dug it. I heard the group on YouTube before hiring, but the videos don't quite capture the fullness of that upright bass. Thanks again guys!

Blake Newman and his group were great performers for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. They have extensive list of jazz standards, and they execute them masterfully. Blake was very accommodating with our requests: we had just a piano for the ceremony, and then kicked into full band (bass, piano, and drums) when we walked back down the isle and into cocktail hour. He was even kind enough to provide a mic and PA for our ceremony. You won't be disappointed!

Blake was very accommodating after having to delay our event during Covid. He and his fellow musicians were lovely - very well-presented - on time, and the music was perfection. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves jazz!
