We were booked to play from 6pm - 11pm with 4 20 minute breaks. Because the venue provides piano, drums and pa, we arrived at 530 to accommodate the 6pm start, very little set up being required. We were told by the venue event planner to stay off the stage because the ceremony would take place there. It was close to 7pm before we could get back on the stage to begin playing. We played for well over an hour during dinner, took a break, then were told to stay off the stage because the cake cutting was being held there. Unfortunately there was several weeks delay between the conversation about the vocalist with Jessica and the booking with Judy and I didn't remember they wanted vocals, which we often feature with our trio and quartet. I'm very sorry about this mistake. We did play an instrumental arrangement of the requested Stephen Sondheim song, and played dance music and swing from the 30's and 40's, but without vocals.Review by Dail R.
