This was my first time hiring a band for an event but Rachael worked with me to figure out how much time we should have recorded music vs how long the band should play. She helped me to create a set list for the band and completely handled the recorded music, which was very nice. Once the band started playing, it was amazing! These guys really are great! I would absolutely work with them again and would highly recommend them to others.

We hired Half Pack Live for our New Year's Eve Wedding. We love the old standards and Motown. They performed excellently - the guests loved the music and they had them on the floor all night! I had many guests tell me it was the best party they had been to in years and I know this band was a big part of the fun! I would recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I felt that having live music at our wedding reception was a priority, and I am so glad that we found Half-Pack live. Half pack live looks and sounds even better than the videos that are offered through GigMasters website for your viewing. It was very easy to communicate with lead band member Rachael regarding details, and the special requests turned out better than I could have imagined. We presented Half Pack Live with a movie theme for our Christmas party. They took the idea and turned into a mini production that made you feel like you were in the movie. This band was excellent. They're great musicians and were so much fun to watch that their performance ended up being one of the highlights of the party.
They were also really easy to work with: friendly and accommodating, adapting to all our requests with enthusiasm and grace.
In short, they communicated clearly, arrived on time, looked & sounded great, and best of all, played a fun set that got even our parents dancing!
We would hire them again in a heartbeat.

To the Half Pack Live Crew... a HUGE thank you. We had a blast! For review purposes, the band arrived on time, set up in fine condition even with our unique stage arrangements. Song selections were well thought out for the crowd and enthusiastically received inspiring many people to dance, as they should. Beyond dance, the band set a tone of class for the evening, and that's a big part of what we were striving for. Musical talent runs deep and was on display for the evening. Even if you weren't dancing, you appreciate the musical talent. The result is a fun event enhanced by a great band.

Troy and the Band were fantastic! They totally set the mood for the event - nearly everyone asked "where did you find these guys?" and everyone said that I had "set the bar way too high" for the party. Half-Pack Live! gave us a stellar performance - exactly what we expected with the songs we expected to hear. This is always a great relief when planning an event as this was the first time we contracted with Half-Pack Live. They communicated with us regularly before the performance, arrived on time and as promised, and their performance was fabulous! If there were more than 5, I would rate them higher on every single count. Half Pack Live were PERFECT for my corporate party. We had people from 3 states there and all night long I heard comments that this band was amazing, incredible, perfect, great, fantastic....the superlatives went on all night long. When not one person out of 260 says a negative thing, and actually go out of their way to seek me out and tell me that their feelings on the band, I know I've made the right choice. Mark Haynie was a pleasure to deal with, and the entire band was very accomodating with a couple of glitches in the schedule that I had to throw at them that evening.

Our daughter's wedding was held at the Corvallis, Oregon Country Club.She wanted a live swing/jazz style band and boy did they deliver! They were absolutely fantastic!!! Our guests wondered where we found them and commented all evening and since, how fun and great sounding they were. We had the 6 piece band and 2 singers and it was like being live at a Vegas show. They were incredible. We made all our arrangements thru Mark Haynie on behalf of Half-Pack Live via email and phone. He was so friendly, responsive and professional. He answered all my questions and had awesome suggestions for special dances, garter/bouquet toss, ect. Hire them and they won't disappoint!

What can I say except FANTASTIC-WOW! Half Pack Live was just simply FANTASTIC!Shame on you if you do not book and just love these guys and gals to bits...they were everything I wanted and MORE!I can tell you that HALF-PACK LIVE impressed me!I work with superstars from around the world-and let me tell ya they can hold their own! They were so professional, great musicians and a joy to watch…They truly entertain you and your guest thoroughly... Ole “blues eyes” and the rest of the “rat pack” gang would take their hats off to this group! Do not try and book them for the July 4th 2009 …sorry to say-I loved them so much I HAVE ALREADY have them reserved! :)
