Mariachi Sol Mixteco was really great, they knew most of the songs that I wanted them to play. They were great to communicate with easily connecting via phone and texts. They knocked it out of the park (literally) they played at Bethesda fountain in central park for our event, they played beautifully. I would definitely use them again.

The band is excellent and professional and I would absolutely recommend them based on their abilities and performance. That said, I had several conversations with the band manager about timing of our party. We originally booked for 9pm-10pm but the party time moved and I confirmed we would start 9:30 or 9:45pm both on Gigmasters and the phone (and only paid once they confirmed the timing). On the party date, the band arrived at 9pm and told me they had to leave at 10pm. In the end, after much stress and arguing, they played 9:45-10:15 and left, only playing 30 minutes. So a great band with a manager that really let us down and left us without music for 30 minutes.

Booked Mariachi Sol Mixteco for my wedding and was incredibly disappointed. I booked after receiving assurances that the 8 songs I requested were within the band's repertoire, however, the lead singer relied on his cellphone to look up the lyrics to the songs and we even had to help out in places. This is incredibly unprofessional and I would have gone with another band had they been honest upfront. They also arrived 25 minutes later than they said they would, which for a wedding is incredibly inconvenient and only played for 20 of the 30 promised minutes and 5/8 requested selections.

Sorry to say this group never showed up to the event, never called to notified. A 50th birthday party is something planned with enough time and the event's program needs to be planned very careful. This group screwed the program by not showing up, even though they were reminded by emails three days before and we provided varies phone number where they can contact us in case of any need.
The worst is that when I called them to find out what happened that they did not showed up, I was not given an explanation; just told by text message that my deposit was going to be reimbursed.
My advise for you is to stay away from this group.

The group did not show up for the event. I had spoken with them on 6/18. Sent the Zoom ID on 6/19, which was confirmed by them. Sent them a reminder the day of the event and they did not appear. I had my fears because they had not responded to previous emails that I had written well in advance and, when I spoke to them, they did not offer many details. Because of this, I can't judge their talent, but we would like our deposit back please. Thanks.

I loved the mariachi they were amazing! Arrived right on time and played all songs we requested in the time frame. However my only complaint was COMMUNICATION! There’s nothing like communication and making you feel assured. I called once booked to find out song lists and if they could play what we requested. I called again Friday the week before to see if they received confirmation of the booking since I only received from the bash and not the actual mariachi band themselves. Then I messaged them day before to give them contact info that they didn’t ask for before so I was worried that it wasn’t going to happen. Band was great, person that I had to talk to, not much.

After trying to confirm multiple times that we were set for the performance, they contacted me 15 minutes before the performance was supposed to start to let me know that their performers were not responding and they were uncertain at what time they would arrive. After an hour of back and forth texts and calls, they were finally able to get a hold of 2 performers. They showed up an hour late. While the performance was still good and my mother enjoyed it, it was an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience, especially given the lengths I went to to ensure all the details were set and everything would go to plan. I will not be booking with them again.
