Mr. MacKenzie's bagpipe performance was the perfect blend of soulful and uplifting at a small family memorial ceremony for a much loved brother. His daughter sweetly played some of our favorite Irish songs on the Celtic Fiddle. Mr. MacKenzie was very accommodating, professional and talented. I would highly recommend him for any special occasion. His performance certainly lived up to all the favorable reviews I had read prior to the booking.

Mr. MacKenzie performed for our wedding at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens on 9/14/13. Since we both have Scottish heritage we looked into hiring a bagpiper. We felt so fortunate to have chosen Joe. His experience and professionalism was apparent from the very start. He also had many helpful suggestions on the music selections and how he could lead my father and I down the aisle during the processional and lead John and I out during the recessional. I would highly recommend Joe. My friends and family continue to tell me that he was one of their favorite memories from the wedding.

Joe brought the upmost class to our fairytale beach wedding! I watch the videos over and over! Joe is an extremely authentic bagpiper as well as photogenic and personable. He would be the perfect entertainment for any wedding or any important event. He and his daughter joined us at our reception, at our request. I feel like we made friends with Joe and his beautiful daughter. They were so much fun, like family. If you could only have one form of entertainment at your wedding, Joe is it! It will be perfect just like our wedding!

Mr. Mackenzie showed up on time and touched base with us right away regarding the plans we had discussed ahead of time. Joe was more of a hit than I ever anticipated. He was darn near perfect, arriving early, impeccably dressed and absolutely professional. The family of the departed has a rich Scottish heritage. Joe was quite simply Amazing. Not only did he put together the most magical musical arrangement for my wedding, but he was flexible, he was responsive, and he put it all together on very short notice because I was too lazy to give him my input on time. I couldn't be more impressed with Joe. I had folks nervous about having bagpipes before the wedding and after the wedding the very same folks were telling me how this was the best music they've ever heard at a wedding. And I have to tip my hat to Joe - his suggestion of ending the ceremony with Scotland the Brave as he walked down the aisle was Epic. The entire performance was Epic.

Don't hesitate...hire Mr. MacKenzie if you are looking for a bagpiper. He was extremelly professional and very easy to work with. On the day of the wedding he was on time and very cordial. His appearance was very neat, clean, and professional. The music was astounding and several of the guests said it set the tone for the entire day!!!! It was a great touch to our fairy tale wedding. Joe was a surpirse for Our guests at Our Wedding; his bagpipes blew them all away as he piped my beautiful bride down the ailse. Communication is very important to me; Joe exceeded my expectation. I am the groom and I also planned Our whole Wedding. Joe was right there, whenever you needed him, via email or on the phone. Joe even came the day before to be at the Brevard Zoo for Our rehearsal. We couldn't have been happier with Mr. MacKenzie! Being a McKenzie myself it was incredibly special to me and my family that he wore our family Tartan. He was extremely professional, on time, and blew everyone away once he started to play. Many of our guests said it was one of their favorite parts of the entire day! He is very sincere and when he plays it is incredibly heartfelt. Hiring Joe was one of the best decisions we made, he was a very special addition to our wedding day.

Gr8 Piping: smooth transitions, full notes. Worried @ 1st bagpipes wouldn’t b romantic. Needn't hav. Much a/b beach wed. wz informl, but pipes pulled it all togethr. Opend w/ elegnt rendition of RowanTree & captured mood @ end w/ celebratory medley. All we askd & more. Passerby’s stopd after 2 say how gr8 pipes sounded. Super sweet daughter came 2 help. Joe was an absolutely amazing asset to our wedding. He was brilliant, and added so much to the overall wedding day. He warmed up in the sanctuary, and then played outside a bit too as a warm up to the ceremony itself. During the ceremony he performed as part of the processional, unity candle celebration, and processional. It was beautiful. I would recommend Joe highly to anyone looking for a professional, talented, and very nice musician for their special day!!
