Wedding ReceptionReviewed on July 21, 2021From Hanover, VA

Brandon did an amazing job performing at our wedding! He gathered some ideas from us early on in the process to make sure he captured the right vibe for the event. He nailed it! We had one song request for my bride's walk down the aisle. It was beautiful! The flowers were nice and dinner was delicious.. but we'll remember Brandon's beautiful music when we think back on our special day. And so will many of our guests. We received lots of compliments on his music. We can't thank Brandon enough and look forward to seeing him play again soon!

:

Thanks Luke, it was a pleasure to spend the day with both of your families at the tavern. I appreciate you letting me do some "fiddle improv" to the contemporary play list you put together. Next time I will have to make more use of the corn hole game. Best wishes to you and the Mrs!

CelebrationReviewed on February 28, 2021From Washington, DC

Brandon was phenomenal- he was open to all ideas on how the performance would go, totally responsive and organized, got everyone involved as I’d hoped. And of course he is just a fantastic musician and story teller. We just had a wonderful time.

:

Thank you so much for allowing me to share an evening with your friends and family. Playing for large audiences can be fun, but there is nothing that can match being able to share a real connection with kind people in an intimate setting. Your enthusiasm and passion was unrivaled and I hope to see big things from your daughter Devans musical pursuits in the future. 'Til our paths cross again...Erin go bragh!

Private PartyReviewed on February 14, 2022From Leesburg, VA

Hey if I could rate our experience with Brandon over a five… I certainly would! A talented professional, he tailored his performance towards our preferences, and I think I’m going to find an excuse to have another party soon just so we can hire him again! He is that good… I will be booking with him again for many parties into the future!

:

Not only can Tommy's wife make an amazing Old Fashioned, but he is an extremely thoughtful and kindhearted person himself. I'm always happy to exist in the background supporting an event, but he went out of his way to ensure the people supporting his gathering were recognized by the attendees. I'm very grateful for any and all the work I can get playing music for people, but every now and then I'll catch “a Tommy” and am just filled with gratitude to be able to continue to walk this path.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on November 15, 2020From Delaplane, VA

Brandon's music was the perfect touch for our 15-guest wedding! He was professional from start to finish, sent us his playlist repertoire about two months ahead of the day, and was accommodating — not to mention he is very responsive on email. He showed up early, wore a mask, and followed the covid guidelines we had set for the event (which were in line with the state's mandates at the time). Brandon's passion for the fiddle and traditional Irish, Scottish, and American folk music is unmatched. He told me he's studied in Ireland with the best, and he plays regularly with a band. If you're looking for the absolute best, Brandon's your guy!

:

Lindsay, thank you so much for writing this review. It was so wonderful being able to serve you and your guests. There was a moment during the cocktail hour where I looked around and saw all the mountain tops, multicolored with leaves of every color as fall set in, there was a number of children running around playing and I saw your family at a table speaking and laughing together. Thats about as good as it gets...what an evening. Best wishes to you and Nick and please dont ever hesitate if I can ever serve you again. And thank you for the plate of food you sent me home with! :)

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on June 20, 2022From Snow Hill, MD

Very talented and professional. Music perfect fit for wedding ceremony. Beautiful music. He made the process easy and created the perfect playlist. Super talented! Highly recommend!!

:

Getting to play in a beautiful 200 year old church for Natalie and Bretts wedding was almost as much of a treat as getting to meet and talk to their family at the reception. A very charming couple that were a joy to play for. Thank you for having me, I've framed and hung the map of the eastern shore you handed out in my recording/rehearsal area!

Church ServiceReviewed on October 2, 2020From Woodbridge, VA

I found this incredible violinists name Brandon on this platform. Brandon was given material to learn and nailed it. During the day of the performance, we came across some difficulty with the sound guy. Brandon was extremely patient, polite, and professional. Beyond talented and creative. He was the cherry on top for my music project... I am confident that in the near future I will book Brandon again, I enjoyed working with him.

:

Sophie hired me to write and perform a violin part for her gospel song. We are from different backgrounds and I think it says a lot about her heart and open-ness that she would hire me for this gig being as how I am predominantly an Irish musician. She had a team of very talented musicians, including herself, that I was privileged to work with. The best gigs are the ones where you start with a client and end with a friend and Im happy to say that is the case here. I have no doubt that Sophie will be performing on big stages in the future and Im thankful to have been part of her journey.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on October 17, 2021From Frederick, MD

very professional from the start..kept in comtact via email the whole time before our wedding, basically went seamless, our wedding guest loved the music and what it brought to our ceremony. would definity book if your looking for someone reliable, very professional and overall a very nice person. thank you for everything and making our ceremony even more special william&billy

William and his partner had a beautiful wedding out on a farm in the countryside replete with what is probably the funnest wedding party attire Ive seen yet. Its tough to strike a balance of formal but rustic and not too restrained by tradition but they did a great job. Their friends and family were very friendly and I ended up hanging out for a bit to get to know everyone after being invited when I finished playing. They were class acts from start to finish. Ive seen a lot of vows at this point but as I sat in the shade of a large tree on their farm and heard their promises to each other, I found myself exceptionally moved. Best of luck to these two in the future.

CelebrationReviewed on May 22, 2022From Washington, DC

Brandon was an incredible communicator, articulate and engaged, listening carefully about my father’s likes for his celebration of Life. We were all set up until Brandon had a critical change of plan and had to leave the country. He contacted musician friends and made arrangements with Bash about the payment and was able to find a replacement just in time. His fellow fiddler did a wonderful job to lift the occasion in the spirit of my father. We were very happy with the process from our first interaction with Bash, then with Brandon, then through the event with Rich. Highly recommended.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on May 3, 2021From Annapolis, MD

Brandon was great! He tailored his play list to my Dad and it made the surprise that much more enjoyable! He was on-time, prepared and responsive to all my communications in advance. Would use him again! Highly recommend.

:

Thank you Mary, it was a joy to meet your friends and family. Your father was a charm and I enjoyed hanging out and hearing about him and his friends days sailing and adventuring. He was a dashing young lad based on the photo on the snack box you provided me when I left!! Best wishes and please don't hesitate if I can ever be of service in the future.

Private PartyReviewed on September 2, 2021From Aiken, SC

Brandon was a wonderful addition to our group for this occasion! He is talented, professional and just an all around great guy. We enjoyed working with him. The Oh! Sullivan’s

:

When three lovely, charming and talented sisters ask you to join them for a show with their wonderful Irish folk act, you say yes! And Im glad that I did. Playing with the Oh! Sullivan's was everything making music should be, fun, exciting, touching... I left the weekend with some cherished memories and a handful of new friends. I encourage anyone in the South Carolina area (and elsewhere!) to check them out and I am grateful to have been a part of their musical journey.

Had the Bard play at a pre-wedding event at a winery log cabin (Delfosse Vineyards in Charlottesville - nice!!) - would highly recommend him to everyone - very talented, professional, polite - played Celtic music on his fiddle for 2 hours straight... impressive!!

:

Patrick made me feel like an old friend at his get together. I was very privileged to be a part of of his pre wedding celebration. Everyone there was very kind and I enjoyed watching the dynamic of everyone interacting. I feel as an outsider I often get a peak into intimate parts of people's lives as a performer and from what I saw there will be lots of happiness in this family's future. Thanks for sharing your stories of your Scottish clan, I'll be toasting you and your family for years to come with the wine glass you gave me! Slaínte

Saint Patrick's Day PartyReviewed on March 21, 2022From Fort Mill, SC

The Wandering Bard was a great addition to our St. Patrick's Party. I appreciated the flexibility, great communication, and professionalism. It was an enjoyable show that fit our atmosphere for the event.

:

Kerri put together a fantastic St Patricks day event that I was fortunate enough to be a part of. As I was playing on stage I could see the faces of people as they walked in , they were doing double takes at how impressed they were with her decorations and the scene she had worked hard on creating for her community. Thanks so much for letting me be a part of your day, slainte!

CelebrationReviewed on March 15, 2020From Arlington, VA

Brandon did an awesome job and was very flexible with our event!

:

Hi AJ, thank you so much for being such a generous patron of the arts. You and your group were an absolute privilege to perform for, the kind of people that keeps aspiring musicians going in a difficult and frustrating field. It was absolutely wonderful being able to share some of the music from the Emerald Isle and to get to know you and your neighborhood friends a little bit. Best wishes and if I can ever be of service in the future, please don't hesitate (former client discount!). Go raibh maith agat friend!
