The Foc’sle event space is located onboard the Battleship IOWA Museum in San Pedro, CA. Here, event attendees can inhabit the same space as three former US presidents. This venue is operated by the Pacific Battleship Center, with proceeds from events held here going towards the preservation and restoration of this storied vessel.
During the ship’s 50 years of service, the Foc’sle served as the sleeping area for the crew when at sea. Now, it provides a scenic location for open-air occasions to be held. The stand out feature here is the imposing turrets that face directly towards the event area. Anchor chains and windlasses line can also be found within this space and add to the maritime aesthetic here. The teak decking on this level slopes downwards from the bow and allows guests to step back and admire the beauty of this ship during occasions held here.
The Foc’sle can accommodate an array of layouts and seating plans to accommodate gatherings of up to 290 guests. Here, wedding ceremonies, corporate functions, fundraisers, and life celebrations can all be catered for within this unique space. The history of this venue can be explored with the help of knowledgeable tour guides that can lead attendees around the various spaces. Event coordinators can also assist with sourcing vendors and personalizing spaces for client’s convenience.
