"Amazing, The Hit of the Party, the best entertainment ever" were the words used by Sue Anne McKinney to describe the unique talents of silhouette portrait master, Cindi Harwood Rose, who recently was found and hired from the talent spot, GigMasters, to do her unique artwork at her daughter's quaint vintage themed wedding.  "Cindi Rose's work kept the guests staying until even after the bride and groom left," the mother-of-the bride stated.  Even the wait staff claimed that they never have seen anyone as engaging.  
 For fun, a clothesline was hung behind Cindi Harwood Rose, who took tiny clothespins and hung the silhouettes up for the guests to admire as she worked and later they took them with them.  Cindi"s talents come from generations of artists.  Her mother would sit with wee Cindi for hours drawing profiles, and doing German/Polish papercuttings.  At 8 Cindi discovered she could earn small change from her talents, and by almost 16, she was hired by Disneyland to do profiles in the park, in watercolors and pastels.  That is where her magic began.  She saw a silhouette artist-- the kind who just looks at you and with scissors and paper only he carved out an exact likeness from thin, black paper. " I asked to try, and was laughed at", Cindi remembers. Whatever I did was better than the prior artist, they fired him, and gave me the coveted spot.  It became my summer job in highschool and later in college, where I graduated in communications and fine art. Those two degrees work well with crowds.  Being able to understand the guests, and to know what they feel they look like, interpreted with their actual features. Cindi is a gifted artist who is able capture each child's little personality in the art of silhouette.  She is so engaging with her audience and each client.  It was captivating to watch her cut each silhouette.  I know these will be treasured by our parents for years to come.

Cindi was delightful, charming, beautiful and a huge hit at our wedding reception. While she works fast, the time she took with each guest left them each feeling special and enchanted by her skills and their silhouette images. She is sophisticated and poised in her appearance all the while being friendly, entertaining and informational about her talent and history of her art form. She sent our silhouettes well in advance for us to use.Our wedding would not have been as successful without Cindi's presence. Having our silhouette guest book is the perfect whimsical representation and memory of our day.

Cindi is so talented, friendly and the perfect addition to making our wedding day special for us and our guests. She cut 2 copies of each   silhouette- each guest got to take one home and the pasted the other in a scrapbook where each guest left their well wishes! It all turned out perfect and everyone loves their silhouette! Cindi was quick to reply to emails, full of creative ideas, she met with us prior to the wedding to do bride/groom silhouettes and was a  true joy to work with.
