I could not have been happier to have them perform at our wedding, and will recommend them to anyone and everyone in the area.

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on May 4, 2013From Ann Arbor, MI

Horizons String Group was very easy to contact and communicate with while planning our event. They were very accomodating of special requests and many of the guests at our reception commented on how wonderful they were. I would highly reccommend them.

Wedding Cocktail HourReviewed on August 26, 2012From Benton Harbor, MI

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on June 28, 2009From Eaton Rapids, MI

They were great for the ceremony but when they moved up for the cocktail hour they set-up too far away to be heard by everyone. I know it was warm and they were looking for shade but in that case maybe a mic would of helped. They were wonderful, we just couldn't hear it. Thanks

:

We tried to move to shade, as our instruments are very valuable and are not protected when in direct sunlight. There was not a lot of protection from the sun, so we moved as best we could to both protect our instruments and accomodate the guests with our music. The bridal party was also farther down taking pictures during the cocktail hour, so they were not directly in the cocktail hour area for part of that hour, so they may not have heard us as well. Also it being outside, unless you were close to the group on the deck area, you may not have heard us as well.

BanquetReviewed on September 25, 2008From Ann Arbor, MI

Without microphones, people in the back of the room had a little harder time hearing the music. Overall, members enjoyed the music very well during dinner.

They were too far away, distance wise, for convenient communication. But we were satisfied and would recommend them.

WeddingReviewed on January 8, 2014From Rochester, MI

Horizon Strings did a great job at the wedding and I got a lot of good feedback from my guests. However, I was not impressed with their response time when I asked questions prior to the event. They also seemed irrated that I forgot to tell them a detail about the wedding reception! Not a very professional attitude.

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on September 28, 2019From Dewitt, MI

We received nothing but compliments and questions about where we’d found them. They were absolutely fabulous, couldn’t have been happier with them as our reception musicians. Would absolutely recommend them for other bookings, or hire them again if we have an occasion to!

WeddingReviewed on June 25, 2019From East Lansing, MI

One of the group was a bit tough to work with since they did not show up (or plan to) for the rehearsal prior to the wedding. But they did a great job from what I can remember as the groom (there was a lot that day) I would definitely consider booking them again.

:

We were not hired for the rehearsal so we did not attend (so the statement we did not show up is incorrect) I spoke with the bride 2 days before the wedding and everything was discussed in advance and ready to go Beautiful couple, easy to work with, planned all the details and payment in advance Went great!

Awards Night PartyReviewed on May 20, 2019From Ypsilanti, MI

If I could rate them higher, I would. We hired Horizon Strings for an Alumni Awards night and EVERYONE in attendance were BLOWN AWAY with their talent. It was extremely easy to communicate back/forth with them and will recommend them to anyone looking for talent that can take your event from good to great. They helped create an experience that we will be talking about for quite some time. THANK YOU!

WeddingReviewed on May 20, 2017From Saline, MI

We had the trio for a wedding and it turned out great. They were willing to travel from the church to the reception. They played a mix of classical and contemporary music. Very classy!

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on September 5, 2016From Midland, MI

We were in a yard wedding and it was very difficult to hear the string Trio. When asked by the home owner if they might need a microphone they replied no. They said that they could be heard well enough. And that was absolutely untrue . Even though they were talented the music was very difficult to hear. And this made it a less than satisfactory experience. If string trios and quartets are playing in an outdoor area they have to understand that there's extemporaneous noise in the background. And they should never come to an event without a microphone. Therefore it was kind of a bummer??

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on May 24, 2016From Grand Ledge, MI

They where very accommodating with working with us prior to the ceremony. They showed up on time and set up and played was requested. They knew when to start, stop, and extend as needed. During they sounded great and filled the gaps between requests.
