For a group that was only set to play for about an hour for our wedding ceremony, they worked with us as if they were the most important aspect of our wedding - which is a good thing. They were extremely receptive to our needs and wants, very communicative on what they needed in order to do a perfect job for us, quick to respond, and extremely accommodating. Our music requests for our processional and recessional were very detailed - down to the minute/second where we wanted entrances, cuts, etc etc and they handled it all flawlessly. They even let us know on that day to just do whatever we felt and they would follow our lead musically. Would recommend to anyone!

We had an outdoor morning wedding combining Jewish and Irish cultures. Ptarmigan navigated these waters beautiful even buying sheet music for an obscure melody my Irish mother requested to hear. They were so diligent and conscientious, ensuring that details were not overlooked. The wedding couple was out of state and so it was the parents in-state that had to attend to alot of details. With the assistance of Vicky at Ptarmigan, no detail was overlooked. The repetoire was vast and yet perfect for our setting and the reception later. It is clear they love their work and know how important it is to making a wedding day memorable and special for all. thank you!!!

From the very beginning when we contacted Vicki at Ptarmigan till the last note was played we were so pleased with the professionalism and overall experience. We had ideas of what type of music we wanted and a song they didn't even play. The group was so accommodating, learned our song and played a unique array of modern classic rock tunes for our wedding ceremony. Vicki managed the process like a pro, they looked awesome in the outdoor (Della Terra) venue and sounded amazing throughout. I can't recommend this group enough. Every aspect of our experience was smooth and worry free. Thanks a ton for making it a wonderful night!

Their agreement contract was quite cumbersome. The amount of time/effort needed for this was way too much in our opinion. They seemed to be against having to play outdoors. They didn't have to as it rained on the wedding day, but it was a point of contention. Overall, they were excellent in terms of musical ability and professionalism.

Vicky and her team surpassed all expectations! There wasn't anything they wouldn't do to make our wedding music all we had imagined!!!! Vicky always gently suggested the right ideas or solutions including convincing me that a quartet - rather than a trio- was what I would be happiest with! She was so patient with me and guided me through the music selection process. And, They were able to play songs I requested that weren't included in their repertoire. On our wedding day Ptarmigan's Sting Quartet's sound was even better live than recorded! Of all the details on the big day, the music was the one things I didn't worry about! Look no further for a string quartet!

Vicki was great to work with. I decided at the last second that I really wanted a string quartet at our wedding and they were wonderful in accommodating our last minute decision. They even learned the game of thrones theme song for us! I didn't get to hear much (busy taking pictures) but our guests said they were wonderful and my husband was very happy!

Our experience with the Ptarmigan String Quartet was excellent! Our guests, both young and old, were impressed. My husband and I were especially happy because they played Led Zeppelin songs and a piece by Rush- our all-time favorite bands! Having the string quartet play a range of Classic Rock and Classical pieces for us definitely added elegance and fun to our party. They were awesome!

Vicki was very professional. She worked hard to make sure that she had every detail nailed down in terms of song, timing, sequence etc. She attended the rehearsal and was engaged the whole time. We had a special song request which she did not know. They learned it and performed it with little turn-around time. The ceremony went off without a hitch, the music was beautiful and they everything came of as very natural, the timing was perfect, and the transitions were great.
