Fred was a big help to us on this special day. He was available on very short notice and guided me to provide a very dignified tribute to my father. If there were any way to thank him more than with this comment I would. His music stirs the Scottish blood in the whole family and we are very grateful for his service.

Fred was absolutely wonderful. His beautiful playing and his elegance were a wonderful musical interlude and pause at the midpoint of our son and his wife's wedding reception. Fred was easy to work with for arranging the event and accommodating our musical preferences. He is an expert musician and we were so happy that he was here.

Mr Payne arrived early and was extremely friendly and professional. I would recommend him for any occasion, and hope to hear him play again sometime, hopefully at a less somber occasion. He was extremely respectful and helped make my brother's funeral more memorable by honoring our Scottish heritage.

Fred was amazing. He showed up 1hr early and looked around so he knew where everything was happening. He was personable and very sensitive given this was a tough time for our family. Fred was amazingly flexible and kind. We all know saying good bye to a loved one is difficult, when you combine it with a military memorial to music is generally the one to be pushed aside. He was gracious and accommodating throughout. He even split the time up between the beginning and end, so that our heritage was represented very well. 2 parts of the memorial were extremely emotional for me, the bugle and Fred's bagpipes. I would highly recommend that if you need or want bagpipes you reserve time for Fred, you will not be disappointed on any level. Thank you Fred, for your kindness, compassion and extreme flexibility. Our grandfather would be proud.

Fred was amazing! He came to our event early to make sure he was prepared for the exact moment he was suppose to play. He was very kind, friendly and talented. I cant grade the 'piper', I didn't hear him, but the people I wanted to surprise DID!!! and they loved him!! was a great surprise for a Scotsman who missed the sound of the piper, occasionally, and turns out CHAMPION BAGPIPER was the best present he received this year!! He called his relatives in Scotland to tell them, too. Easy to deal with, and from all who heard him, he sounded GREAT!!

Fred played my brother's wedding on July 17th. Yes, they married on a Wednesday, a Wednesday afternoon at that. Fred was excellent, he arrived early to get himself ready, met with the wedding planner and offered his advice on what would work best for the wedding ceremony. He is just overall fantastic. He led in the wedding procession and when he started up the mother of the bride burst into tears, everyone else commented on the goosebumps that he'd just evoked. He was an excellent addition to a beautiful ceremony. He even stayed past his scheduled time to pose for pictures with the couple. If I'm ever in need of a piper again, I will definitely be calling Fred.

I had the pleasure of hearing Mr. Fred Payne play at an event and knew he was the only choice for our church's 9-11 service. Mr. Payne is very professional and accommodating.
