Fred was wonderful. He played the bagpipes at my father's memorial service. He was professional, extremely talented and accomodating to everything we needed. He was a wonderful addition to the service.

Champion Piper was on time, courteous & flexible with our schedule as our timing of his participation got bumped a bit. His piping skills are excellent & he played an array of tunes, strathspeys, jigs & reels, slower pieces, Scotland The Brave & Amazing Grace. The wedding guests were enthusiastic & clapping along, a bit of stomping their feet in time as well, & rousing clapping & hoorahs at the end of each set. Champion Piper was a definite asset to the wedding & added to the energy & joy of the wedding event. He led the Bride & Groom out into the night under an arch formed by adoring family & friends with sparklers to light their way. Champion Piper was a ++.

He was great !!! If you need a piper this is your guy. The music was spot on and he got on with all the guests and was happy to accommodate our requests throughout the day. We all enjoyed his presence and performance.

We felt let down at our wedding. We asked the piper to play during our recessional and then for the coctail hour just above where our guests were visiting. Everything seemed to be going well and then about twenty minutes later he was gone. Vanished into thin air. Nobody knew where he was and the rest of the coctail hour was musicless. If we had of known he wasn't going to play during our coctail hour we would have had the dj set up an additional sound system on the patio for the same two hundred it cost for him. To his credit he did play well for twenty minutes and was very nice on the phone but ultimately left us disappointed. Two words - mariachi band

:

I consulted w/ the bride before the ceremony. She clearly told me to "play for a little while as the guests start to get their cocktails." I played for about 15-20 minutes during the reception (a little more than requested)and did not leave the premises for nearly 1/2 hr after finishing my performance. I would have gladly returned immediately. Since I began to perform professionally at the age of 14, I have NEVER left early, and have never before had a dissatisfied client. I apologized sincerely to the bride and offered her a refund. She did not reply to my offer.

Very professional, friendly and accommodating throughout the entire process. Our event was a huge success and Fred's bagpipes were spectacular in adding to the ambiance of the night.

Mr. Payne was prompt, professional and very talented. He was incredibly sensitve and caring to my family, showing deference to and compassion for my mother. My father would have been proud to know him and very happy Mr. Payne played "Amazing Grace" for him. It didn't hurt that Fred is quite good looking, too!

Fred Payne of Champion Piper did a beautiful job performing at my fathers funeral. He was professional and courteous to me and and my family during a difficult time. I thought the price was very fair for his time and the two tunes he played. I would hire Mr. Payne again and would also recommend him to anyone seeking a piper at their event.

Mr Payne was, from the beginning, caring, kind and very accomodating. He arrived on time and when we weren't sure when he should play he and the minister worked it out together He was very professional and played two peices very movingly. I would hire him again. Alex Hatch
