Craig, the local VFW Post Commsnder, engaged me to play at the Veterans Dsy Event at the Manheim Veterans Memorial Park. I played a medly of the military service songs, and then Amazing Grace at the conclusion of the ceremony.

Truly wonderful to have Gus with us again -- this time for our Veterans' Day Breakfast. Gus played while people gathered which really set the scene. During the ceremony, Gus played an Armed Forces Medley which was greatly appreciated by all (and a first for me hearing these on the pipe -- well played!), and Gus piped us out at the end of the breakfast. People also really enjoyed the description of the uniform that Gus wore.

Rev. Grant engaged me to play at a Veterans' Breakfast at the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in York. I wore the historic uniform of a piper in the 5th Battalion, Queens Own Cameron Highlanders of the 51st Highland Division during WW II. Besides the kilt in Cameron of Erracht tartan, I wore the P1940 Battledress Jacket and Tam 'O Shanter with the regimental flash in that tartan. Great breakfast and fellowship!

Fred engaged me to play at his father's funeral at the Highland Presbytetian Church in Lancaster. After the service, I led the family and friends in a procession from the church to the Memorial Garden where the ashes were interred. At the family's request, I played Lord Lovat's Lament and O' Danny Boy.

John engaged me to play at a Folds of Honor charity fundraising event at the Saucon Valley Country Club. This foundation provides scholarships to the families of service personnel and First Responders. I played for the opening ceremony which included five skydivers and a flag-folding sequence. The ceremony was held on a magnificent golf fairway. It was a pleasure and honor to perform at this annual event.

For the second year, Rev. Whitmore hired me to play at the annual Convocation Ceremony, conducted at the Irvine Memorial Chapel on the grounds of the Mercersburg Academy. This is a prestigious secondary school which trains both American and international students. The weather could not have been better, both indoors and outdoors. After the ceremony, I played outside the front doors as the students, faculty and guests exited the church.

Two members of the Regimental Pipes & Drums and I played at the annual Regimental Dinner of 1st BN 108th Field Artillery Regiment, PAARNG, at the Penn-Harris Convention Center in Camp Hill. We played as guests were arriving, and then played during the opening ceremony, closing with the Army Song. A very enjoyable evening.
