Thom did an excellent job playing at my mother's funeral service. Many people commented on how special and touching having him play at the cemetery made the event. Thom was helpful in answering my questions and helping select appropriate music beforehand, as well.

I requested that Thom play my uncle's favorite song, You'll never walk alone. Not many people know this song, but it happens to be one of Thom's favorites also. He played it beautifully and played it multiple times throughout the hour, as new people arrived so they, too, were able to enjoy this beautiful song as well. Everything he played was a family favorite. He also gave us an option of what attire we preferred, (Scottish traditional, Irish, etc) I appreciated this since my entire family was born in Glasgow, Scotland. Thom responded to emails quickly and was very profreasional, I would refer him to anyone looking for a piper.

We can't say enough about Thom, he arrived as he said he would, was wonderful, played wonderfully. This was my wedding present to my husband, he is Scottish was so excited when I told him I had book a bag piper. We had request for Thom, and he was able to accommodate these. I had spoken to another piper, who is local and not part of your site, he told me that no piper could do what we were asking, Thom did and with a smile on his face. Thom did an amazing job!! I gave him some last minute songs and he came through big time playing them and providing an encore of these favorites I forgot to tell him about until last minute. Our event was a corporate event where 13 members of our company stormed the stage to accept our award dressed as Scottish Highlanders. Thom was so excited about the event and even had ideas of how we should march in. Our "storming" was a surprise and the time I anticipated was pushed back around a half-hour, but that was no problem for Thom. Thom also hung around longer than the timeframe I had originally given him to pose for pictures and continue playing. You can tell he loves his craft and his heritage. If Thom is available to play your function, you'd be crazy to hire anyone else.
