Poor Man's Gambit was an absolute delight to work with. They were very accommodating and executed everything with professionalism and class. They made our wedding day feel special and perfectly set the mood for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The guests could not stop talking about how much they loved the band. Poor Man's Gambit also included some instructions for guests to dance and everyone had a blast. I would highly recommend these guys to play your wedding or any special event. I could not have asked for a better performance. 11/10 stars.

Fabulous talented trio! The harmonies among their instruments and vocals were superb. The blended sounds from their instruments made it seem like there were more than just three musicians. What a treat to hear authentic Celtic music. The musicians were very friendly and accommodating to our space and our audience. Hire them, you will not be disappointed.

Such a beautiful sounds trio. Rich Traditional Irish music that really created the perfect vibe for our St. Patrick's Day corporate office celebration. Working out the logistics with Corey was a breeze because of his professionalism and forward-thinking approach to logistics. I will have them back next year, if not sooner. :)

We couldn’t be happier with the performance at our party from Poor Man’s Gambit! Corey and Deidre arrived exactly when they said they would, bought professional equipment that was perfectly suited to the room, and put on a terrific show that had all of our guests complimenting the entertainment all evening long. I couldn't recommend Poor Man’s Gambit more highly and definitely hope they can join us again in the future. Slainte!

They were fantastic..... With everything. Very prompt, kind, professional, and fun band. They made my wedding so much more special. We did ceili dancing and myself, the groom, and the guest loved it. We actually got through 3 dances. We were all very novice to this type of dancing and that showed but it was soooooo much fun. If we do a 5 or 10 year renewal we will have them back for sure. If you're on the fence as to book or not... This is your sign.... Book them!!!!!!

I would give Poor Man's Gambit a 10, they are not only professional, talented, and possess a sublime musical intellect, they are very kind and considerate. Their traditional irish music played on traditional instruments was so beautiful and authentic. They performed for us at my husband's 30 year anniversary with his company; they were a surprise I had purchased for him. They were very accommodating to my requests, and they made his night. Also, I found that the cost of their performance was very reasonable. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their music and they inspired a relaxed and jovial atmosphere. Thank you Deirdre and Corey for a most wonderful evening.

I could not express how unbelievably talented Poor Man’s Gambit is. They were flawless from start to finish. So professional, so easy to work with. Their music transported us to Galway and as I made my way though the party crowd, all the guests were commenting on how much they loved the band. They truly filled a bucket list dream for us, to have an amazing live Irish band play at our house. Their music was upbeat, traditional and I had neighbors texting me asking me to have the band keep playing longer! They were phenomenal, I can’t say enough about Poor Mans Gambit. They drove all the way from PA to attend our St Patrick’s Day backyard party in Virginia. Thank you!
