I really enjoyed working with Jim for our company holiday party. He was quick and easy to communicate with, he played a wonderful mix of music, not just holiday. He's completely professional and adds a special touch to any event you hire him for. He's just the perfect extra something special. I've worked with him prior to this event 9 years ago and again would highly recommend and happily hire again!

JIM IS AMAZING! I hired Jim to perform at our outdoor wedding, and me and my husband could not have been more delighted with him or his performance. He is extremely kind and accommodating, and extraordinarily talented. He chatted and laughed with our guests, took requests, and impressed everyone. Our wedding was two months ago, and I still have guests commenting on the music and Jim. If you are thinking of booking Jim, do it! Even though we don't live near Chicago, we are already thinking of ways we can hire him again.

Jim was absolutely wonderful! He was so easy to communicate with before and on the day of the wedding. He was also very accommodating of last minute changes on the day of the wedding. Jim played beautifully, and all of our guests were commenting on how much they liked him. He made our day truly special, and I would recommend him to anyone considering an acoustic guitar player for their wedding or reception- or for any event really!

Jim performed at our ceremony and cocktail hour for our wedding. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. Jim arrived at our church with plenty of time to set up his equipment and practice before the ceremony. He then played beautiful wedding music for our prelude. Jim was also nice enough to sing and play a song we requested for our unity candle portion of our wedding, which was absolutely wonderful. He also played all the songs we asked. Jim is not only a great guitar player and singer, but great to work with as well. He made our wedding truly special and we would not hesitate to ask him to play at another event. We definitely recommend him!

We found Jim on theknot.com and went to see him play at the Cellar Bistro. He was amazing, and we hired him immediately! He played everything we wanted to hear, and I just wish I could have heard him play before I walked down the aisle! I can't wait to see him perform again!

Jim, played for our wine tasting event. Jim is incredibly talented but also a pleasure to work with. He is a true professional in every sense of the word. Finding talent for this event was not a job I was looking forward to and Jim made the process a breeze. Emails were answered promptly and the booking process was easy. Our clients really enjoyed the acoustic guitar music he played and his music was a perfect compliment to our event. I would recommend Jim to anyone looking for a guitarist for any event.

Jim played our wedding ceremony and he was fantastic. First, he was extremely friendly and professional. He responded very promptly to my e-mails and was accommodating to our special requests.
He is also a very talented guitarist! His style is more classical, so it sound a little different than a lot of others, but it sounds amazing. He adapted Across the Universe for us to play for the bridal processional and it was absolutely perfect.
So, overall Jim was a perfect choice. He is prompt, professional, and excellent performer and an all-around nice guy.

I found Jim through the Knot and I'm so glad we picked him. I originally wanted a string trio for my 9/16 wedding, but felt it was too overdone. I wanted something different. Jim was exactly that. He responded to me via text/emails ASAP, very professional, outstanding musician. We put together a great song list that felt very nice for my wedding. Best of all, he accompanied my sister (my MOH) while she sang for the processional of the bridal party. I sincerely loved him. The only thing I wished was that I got to see him more during the wedding. Other than that, Jim is a stand up guy with amazing guitar skills. I look forward to booking him at other events :)!

There is simply no way to word how extremely appreciative we are of Jim Perona and his amazing talent. Jim helped us create the perfect soundtrack to our wedding and has left us with cherished memories for a lifetime. Jim was beyond fabulous at my son and new daughter in law's wedding! He was excellent at communicating with all of us especially since the bride and groom lived in San Diego and other family in various states and cities but the wedding was held in Geneva. My husband and I recently had Jim play for our ceremony and cocktail portion of our wedding on September 1st. Jim was absolutely wonderful! He was extremely professional and always returned our emails as quickly as possible. We asked Jim to learn and play 6 songs for our wedding. He sent us recorded videos so we could see how they sounded and could assign them to various parts of our ceremony. The songs turned out perfectly! We were thrilled. Working with Jim couldn’t have been a better experience. He helped make our day even more perfect.
