He is an incredible musician and was highly professional. I only spoke with him on the phone before the big day, given the distance between our home and his, but he was very accommodating and personable so I was completely at ease. I would recommend him for any wedding or event!

Jim was absolutely wonderful. He plays so beautifully. The music was a superb background to the party. Jim was also very professional. He arrived early, set up efficiently (even though we asked him to perform both outside and inside) and was very professional and accommodating throughout the evening. We would recommend Jim highly and look forward to the next occasion we can have him play. A five star experience.

Jim did an excellent job of providing music for our wedding at the Morton Arboretum. He was very responsive and especially helpful in suggesting selections, and choosing the right music for the moment. Many of our guests commented on how lovely it was to have a solo guitar in the background, and we feel Jim was just wonderful for helping create the special mood to go with our special occasion. I would not hesitate to recommend him, or hire him again in the future!

We hired Jim to perform during our wedding ceremony. He was fantastic. He reached out to us well before the big day and worked with us relentlessly to make sure we were going to get everything we needed from him. He even learned a couple new songs on fairly short notice that we had especially asked to be played.
The day of the wedding, Jim showed up early, worked with us and our wedding coordinator on last minute changes and details and was ready to go for the ceremony.
Jim is extremely talented, sounded wonderful and helped make our wedding a day we'll remember forever.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Jim to prepare the accousitic pieces for our wedding. We had a very intimate wedding of 24 and his performance made it very unique and beautiful. Jim was really great! He showed up on time and was willing to accomadate to last minute changes. My uncle really wanted to sing a song and he was kind to give him space and even use some of his equiptment. I will definetly refer him to other friends, family, or coworkers looking for a guitarist for their wedding or event. He was a pleasure to work with and is incredibly talented. We were extremely happy that we had Jim perform for our outdoor wedding ceremony and cocktail hour on June 4th, 2011. Before the event he kept in touch as we worked to find the right music selections and was always willing to provide excellent recommendations. On the day itself he arrived early and was set up well before any guests arrived. Our selections for the ceremony were cued up perfectly and were played beautifully. Even when Jim wasn't able to plug into any electricity during our cocktail hour, he simply found the best spot possible and did his best to out-compete 150 voices. He was a true professional and we highly recommend his services!!

Jim provided the perfect soundtrack to our candlelit wedding ceremony. We gave him free license to play whatever he felt was appropriate and were thrilled with the performance. Many of our friends and family members commented on how romantic the ceremony was, especially due to the beautiful classical guitar sound! He was also very personable and friendly to work with. Jim was exactly what we were looking for. A talented and flexible classical guitarist. Being a guitarist myself, I had quite high standards and Jim more than exceeded them. We were very pleased with Jim's professionalism and music repertoire. Jim arrived promptly and efficiently setup his sleek sound system. The guests commented positively on his performance and he was open to one guest's request to do a guitar duet. Jim was fantastic. He performed during the cocktail hour before our wedding reception. His attention to detail leading up to the event was top notch. We found it especially thoughtful how Jim made sure he didn't upstage us by playing any of the evenings special songs. On the day of the event Jim was on time and self sufficient. We were both busy with photos until just before the cocktail hour, and were delighted to enter the space to the wonderful sounds of Jim's guitar. Jim's playing was exceptional! Several of our guests had nothing but great things to say about Jim's performance. We would suggest Jim to any of our friends for their events!!

Jim made everything so easy and special. He went out of his way to make sure every detail was just right and personalized. He came to the table with some great ideas and suggestions with his experience which helped us with our decision making. All of our guests raved about how good his preformance was. Jim Perona was outstanding. Playing Flamenco and Spanish Guitar as background for my daughter’s wedding reception and special requests. All attending enjoyed. Jim continued to play as guests left as we cleaned up. Jim traveled several hours for this event. The weather not the best with snow in the forecast. He was everything he said he was following through on the commitment and was early.I could trust Jim with a gentlemen’s handshake agreement. My only regret is not having him come with some C.D.s of his music. It is something to consider in the future. Well done Jim. Thanks for adding to a memorial moment in my daughter’s wedding. Jim was prompt, professional, friendly and is an excellent musician. He was the hit of our corporate party and have had several employees stop by to ask for his information. We love Jim! He played for both my wedding ceremony and the reception cocktail hour and first dance. He was seriously accommodating. My now husband and I wanted a song for our first dance to be personal and all ours. Jim worked up short versions of two candidates for us to review and finished our choice song on short notice! Additionally, we are not the best dancers and didn't seem to need as much song as we had him prepare. Jim gracefully ended the song so we weren't awkwardly turning circles for what seemed like forever. This guy is so talented and so nice! Would hire him again in a heartbeat and will continue to seek out his gigs at local restaurants!

Jim is an amazing, talented, professional, and friendly person. He was so easy to deal with. When looking for a guitarist we didn't know where to start. We weren't sure what songs to pick for our ceremony and we also weren't sure if we wanted music for our cocktail hour. When we weren't sure about certain things we would email him and he would send us "examples" of the songs via youtube. He wanted to make sure we were happy and he was always willing to help us any way he could. VERY talented. We are so happy we found Jim. He added so much character to our wedding.
