I am not even sure I can put into words just how talented these guys are. My wife first saw them at a charity event before we were even engaged. She came home and said "if we ever get married, I have our band." From there we saw them at a few gigs around town, and we were immediately fans.
They just know how to play. They were easy to work with, completely professional, yet artists to the core. We had a requested song which they learned in merely one week.
Our wedding was a giant party, and The Trip played right into it. They were warriors, going basically non-stop for over three hours - they kept the place dancing and never stopped. Thanks Guys!

2008. We were a little hesitant to book them at first since we hadn't
seen them perform live ourselves. But we had a feeling from their
press kit, playlist, and feedback from other clients, that they were
the high energy and talented band we were looking for to help make our reception a great party. They really delivered! They had everyone on the dance floor the entire time and even got an enthusiastic encore! The songlist was great. They performed our special request songs which aren't on their playlist without a hitch! They were professional, on time and great to work with. Book the Trip!

I booked The Trip to play at my yacht club, Balboa Yacht Club, opening day party and they made the event! They were on time, very professional, and they where good sports about participating in the theme of the party. They have amazing singing abilities, every member was a strong performer and the drummer was remarkable. The next day I ran into some of the residents on Balboa Island and they even enjoyed the music from across the harbor! Everyone was dancing until the final song. The Trip is very talented. However, for a band that is well seasoned in playing at weddings, they did very little aside from just play. They did not get he guests to stand we were introduced. first 45, minutes they played slowsongs which were on the do not play list they asked for months ago.Lastly, thy had a 45 minute break during our dinner. After an hour and they still were not back on stage one of my bridesmaids went to ask them to please stick to the schedule they were given and the allotted time they agreed to for breaks. They responded with "you tell the bride we just started to eat and when we are done we will go back on stage and play." Very rude.

My wife and I disagreed about our choice in music and bands for my 50th recently. Luckily it was my birthday and I won out.
We enjoyed everything about our night with you all and your performance made my weekend even more special. You guys are pros yet not pompous and VERY accomodating. Thanks for letting my 13 year old drum with the band and even a no-talent old rocker like myself get up there and sing (lipsync) to some of my favorite tunes. It is a rare that I would book a group without seeing them, however the Trip came so highly recommended that we took the chance. The band was early for the set up and sound check, very flexible with their playlist, and even allowed one of our attendees come up and play with them. We definitely look forward to working with them again!!

We were so impressed with this band. We hire a band each year for this annual fundraiser. As the coordinator of the event, I field all the complaints when the crowd is not pleased with the band. The Trip received RAVE reviews from all those in attendance on April 18, 2008. The fee was slightly beyond our usual budget, but the gamble totally paid off! They were great, wonderful, talented, professional, charming and flexible. We thoroughly loved them! ...a really, really good band. I would certainly hire them again and recommend them to anyone who asked.

we ran into some bad weather (rain) causing the band to hold off playing until it stopped. I booked the band for 4 hours and they sat around doing nothing until the rain stopped which I completely understand, however, I would hoped they would have made a decision to stay "extra" time to play longer since the rain prevented it earlier in the evening.....instead, as soon as their 4 hours were up, they packed up and left. Over-all they played less then one hours. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed........I guess their "4 hour contract" took priority over my Wife's 60th party as well as any future bookings from all of us at the event.

UNBELIEVABLE! Our crowd never stopped dancing and cheering! They are most rocking band we've have here for a very long time! People are already calling to find out when they can hear them again. The energy and attitude that The Trip brings for every gig is unmatched and incredible. The song selection was perfect and they also played a ton of newer songs that no other bands perform. They are a pleasure to talk to and work with. We will continue to hire THE TRIP as much as possible. They really surpised us that they lived up to the hype. If you want a GREAT BAND with no worries and don't want the "same old same old" wedding type bands, hire THE TRIP!

The Trip was a terrific band. They were accomodating with the time, travel, risers and music list. The Gigmaster video of them was great so my husband went to Laguna Beach to see them in person. He was wowed and we booked them right away.
Our event was on Aug. 11 and our guests are still telling us what a great band they.
We'd definitely use them again and recommend them.

My husband's only request for the wedding reception was to have a live band. The Trip more than exceeded our expectations.
Mike Lewis took good care of us and was extremely responsive beforehand. They are very talented musicians (the guitarist had some face-melting solos that rocked) and cover a wide repertoire of music. They were funny and even though the dance floor wasn't always packed (it was an afternoon affair after all), we've gotten lots of compliments from our friends. Highly recommended.

The Trip was great for our wedding, they were energetic, engaging, and everyone had a great time. They were slow to respond to emails, so I did have to email them a few times which was kind of stressful and we were not provided current contact information. Other than that, they were great to work with, very accomodating, and we really enjoyed them. I would highly recommend them!
