John Alden was an excellent choice to DJ my 5th anniversary party. I got at least a half dozen compliments from friends (in our 40's or so) about how this was the best party they've attended in a while: they said that they liked how the music was a great mix, and was totally danceable without being so loud we couldn't talk. John was professional, friendly, and MC'd our event smoothly. I would highly recommend Alden Entertainment and I would totally hire him again!

This is the second time we used Alden. He is great, he plays the music requested and also take off the floor requests. He is very professional and has a good read on the party flow but doesn't insert himself into the party.

Alden Entertainment was the DJ for our high school's 40th year reunion. They were easy to communicate with before and during the event. They took a predeveloped playlist as input and then appropriately adapted the music on the night to the mood in the room and on the dance floor. Some committee members were concerned the DJ might overwhelm the event, but he didn't at all. The DJ played background music to warm up the guests and then got the party going once people were ready to dance (and sing)! We had a great time with them.

John was very professional during the entire process and I would recommend him for others having parties or similar events. He showed up and setup on time, and played a great mix of songs for the group. I didn't have to give much information for him to understand the vibe and type of music that we were going for. Also easily accommodated all of our spontaneous requests that popped up throughout the night, and helped MC when we needed.
