We used John for our corporate holiday party in New York City and he was a wild success! I highly recommend John for any type of event-- he was reliable, checked out the venue ahead of time, and had a every song known to mankind for karaoke!

John was so patient with my group, who at times, took over the microphone. At the end of the event, he graciously plugged it in again, so that we could talk to the crowd. I would highly recommend him to anyone. This was a 40th reunion, so the music was mostly 70s, with some current music mixed in. He provided just the atmosphere I wanted, and it was so appreciated! Thank you John.

Mr Alden is a GREAT person to work with. He is reliable, courteous and he KNOWS the business. My only criticism is his choice of music. I think his selections coukd be more current and a bit more diversified.
Other than that I think he is very good.

John Alden did an amazing job at my party! He had young and old dancing the night away. He independently, professionally sets himself and all his equipment up quickly and without a whisper. As a party host of fifty, that was extremely helpful to me that he needs not a drop of direction! I will certainly be using him again and recommending him to everyone hosting a party. Prior to my party, I had read other reviews of Alden Entertainment and one had wished they had him sing more than one song. So here is my advice...go for the cocktail hour singing , you will not regret it. John in a tux singing , songs of your choice, made my party all the more memorable:)

John and team are just great. They worked with us for a large event for two years in a row, and everything was seamless. He allowed us to pick our playlists, made suggestions year-over-year to make things better, and is incredibly professional throughout. Best DJ I've ever worked with in planning events.

Alden was exactly what we were looking for for our wedding party. We had a huge list of different songs and we wanted them all to be played at the right time. We emailed the list of 166 songs to John a week before the party and he showed up, setup, and people had a great time. Everyone complimented that the music was excellent and that it wasn't so loud you can't hear yourself think. As the event was at my house I was planning on having an after party and wanted to setup my stereo system before John left. John helped me carry and assemble all the components before he left and the music never skipped a beat. Highly recommended!

he was nice. however, he came a bit late, and i don't know if it's because we only hired him for 2.5 hours, but he didn't seem to give it his all. i had to tell him to crank up the music, and make people get up and dance, although things were written out he didn't seem to know certain things. although all in all it was a lovely evening, he could have worked it a little harder and made more of an effort.
