Robert played for my mom's 70th Birthday celebration in D.C. I live in Houston and was planning all of this long distance. The plan was to meet at our hotel and do a processional with him leading and playing the pipes to the restaurant. He was so amazing and accommodating. He even hid in the bushes so as not to ruin the surprise! Even more, he did the research as to the best route to the restaurant, he brought his smaller pipes to play inside the restaurant, he played my mom's two favorite songs. He was such a pleasure to work with and he is so so talented! I will never forget the weekend-- when he started playing-- we all got chills. So amazing. Thank you, Robert!

Robert was a true professional and the bagpipes being played as guests entered the church and having Danny Boy played at the recessional were amazing. The priest even asked him to play an extra song. He also went to the cemetery and played as guest arrived and left the service. Absolutely superb!!!! I would Highly recommend Robert!

Robert Mitchell was the best choice for this event. He was extremely professional, a gentleman and an excellent bagpiper. He wanted our special day to be perfect so he met our needs by being so flexible with playing time becuase our needs varied so much. His addition to our wedding added such a unique and personal touch to the beginning of our new life together. I will never forget the bagpipes playing "Amazing Grace" when I walked up to the church. If you need a bagpiper for any event, this is your guy!

We engaged Robert Mitchell to play his bagpipes for our recent outdoor wedding. The music he played for the prelude brought style and panache to the start of the event. His playing of Ode to Joy and Highland Cathedral to accompany the entrance of the Minister, and of the Groom and Best Man, accompanying the ring bearer and flower girl, brought a lump to the throat. His Scotland the Brave recessional rounded off the ceremony in glorious style. Robert was a delight to work with throughout the planning process. He provided some excellent advice and suggestions, and understood and accommodated all of our wishes. He exceeded all of our (already high) expectations.

Robert provide the most awesome music prior to our daughter's wedding outside the very old Stone Church. The bagpipes sounded wonderful. All my guests were saying how much the bag pipes added to the ceremony. After the ceremony, Robert led the whole congregation to the George Washington Hotel. He play very cheerful music and greeted the guests at the entrance to the hotel. The whole experience working with Robert over the last 6 months was very enjoyable. I would definitely hire him again and recommend to anyone who needs a bagpiper. His bagpipes sound so good in the hands of a true professional.

Bob was easy to work with, available when needed , helpful with selection of music and the format. He was the very best surprise to our guest who came from both Scottish and Irish backgrounds. Bob was great! Engaging, entertaining, and fun. He showed up early and performed in front of the school while the folks were filing in, and as the rain came, he simple adjusted. He then helped us round up the kids and their parents scattered throughout the school, leading them to the cafeteria where the he played a song to start off our program. After a 1/2 hour of performances, he then strolled from section to section to entertain and talked to the kids and family, and we heard lots of great feedback on his work. Great job!

Mr. Mitchell added so much to our ceremony and reception. He was very prompt and very professional. His previous reveiws were very accurate in portraying him as the Best and he lived up to that. Bob was a joy to have. Our crowd was totally taken with the border pipes he used for our indoor "Celebration of Life" ceremony for my Mom. For such a wonderful and classy performer it was really nice of him to take such a small gig like our gathering, but his presence there (which was Mom's heart's desire to have pipes) made all the difference! He was even patient enough to show my 4-year-old daughter how they worked. If he'll travel to your event, and he travels far, he's the piper you want.

Robert Mitchell responded in a timely manner to any emails or phone calls we made. He sent an email outlining all we had discussed regarding what his role was for our daughter's wedding. He was prompt and prepared. He played as he led the guests from the ceremony area to the portico for the cocktail hour. He played during the cocktail hour. He played a variety of songs and his music was enjoyed by our guests.
